Your centre of gravity may well be in your shoulders, almalieque, but the rest of us aren't quite so big headed.

He has. They make him feel icky. Smiley: frown
I just want to know how much a "fair share" is.

Alma is correct about the center of gravity. We did an "experiment" in high school physics. All the boys lined up on one side of the room, and all the girls on the other, 1 foot away from the wall, facing it, hands on the wall in front of us. Then we leaned forward and braced our foreheads on the wall, and removed our hands and put them down by our sides.

The girls were able to easily right themselves. The guys could not - because the center of gravity is higher in the chest for men.

Was a fun experiment.

With training, though, women can easily develop the upper body strength for "men's" pushups.
#131Almalieque, Posted: Aug 28 2010 at 12:36 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) They can, because they do, but it isn't fair to expect the average female to be able to. The biggest thing that I've seen right now for women in the military, at least the Army, is the unrealistic height and weight standards. Any woman with a figure, i.e hips, thighs and or chest, is almost automatically going to be over the weight limit.

You really don't know fUck all about anything do you? Do you actually have a brain like other humans, or is it just a ill-defined ball of randomly firing nerve endings? Like a frog has. Or a nudibranch?

Your total ignorance is astounding.

Just asking a question, I didn't assume anything. It's either or one or the other. Which one is it?

Your claim is wrong.

Using Yahoo Answers to back your 'claim' up is crass. And hoping a school activity guide for teachers of speshul needs kids is going to reinforce it is at least as bad.

Even from the crappy links you gave, how you reach a conclusion that a womans centre of gravity is in her hips whilst a mans is in his chest, eludes me. Do you not have humans to look at wherever it is you live. My son wouldn't come to the conclusion that you did and he's 4 years old.

You're an attention seeking cUnt with some sort of sexual retardation/fixation, who should go back to commenting on YouTube videos, or wherever else it is that you blew in from imo.

That was an attack, in case you are confused.

Whatever man... You're arguing against science.. One of those links was a trainers guide...

You haven't said anything contrary to the truth. Just because your own stupidity doesn't allow you to comprehend that simple concept doesn't justify your claim. You obviously have no substance given the fact that you only attacked me and not catwho who said the same.

He's too stupid to comprehend that he hasn't contradicted the truth?

Do you understand that words have meanings? Aside from the words "equality" and "fairness", I mean.

He's right about the center of gravity thing though, I saw it on an episode of Effing Science.
Can't find a link to the actual clip, but I did find a link to a crappy video of the clip being played on a TV.
Link.
Basically, the dudes can't pick up the chair because their center of gravity, in that position, is much higher than the chicks'.

What that has to do with poofs in the military I do not know.

At this point, I'm convinced that Kao was trolling all of us when he said essentially that.

It had to do with women doing less work (sit ups, push ups, etc.) in the military, and how I thought that was crap.

Still do, for the record.

A womans centre of gravity is NOT in her hips. The only way that would be true is if she had an **** so big she needed to carry it around in a fecking wheelbarrow.

And if that was the case, she wouldn't be applying for the army. More likely a checkout position at WalMart or wherever the fUck people can still find jobs in the US these days.

No, but it is lower than where a guy's center of gravity is. (If memory serves, it's actually closer to about midway between the breasts and the navel.)

I'm sure it varies by body shape, but a women's center of gravity does tend to be lower than a man's as they tend to carry more weight below the waist.

I was retorting to Almaliques assertation that

Quote:
The male's center of mass is typically in their chest, giving them more strength to do more upper body work outs. The female's center of mass is typically in their hips, giving them the strength to do more lower body work out.

Now I dont know for fact where Almas chest or hips are for sure, or yours are either, but if you want to argue that his statement is correct for the rest of humanity, then please, knock yourselves out.

We're saying that while he's an idiot with respect to the specific locations he's mentioning, the general idea he's trying to get across - namely, a woman's center of gravity is lower than a man's - is at least correct.

It's like if someone accused you of being an Australian. Yes, they're wrong, but at least they're close.

If you think 1500 miles is 'close', I can see how you would think Almas claim has merit.
