My daughter had her first solo professional gig as an 'event photographer' last weekend.

Screenshot

I'm proud. I know it's not ultimately what she wants to take pics of, but she enjoys the work, and it pays very well.

Someone had asked earlier about her work. She now has a website It's still pretty new though and doesn't have much up stuff on it. Her craploads of pics from all her classes and projects she's done are not on the site - heck many are still not digitized. However, if anyone should need a photographer consider Calypso Rae Photography.

Lets see the offspring.

Looking at the photos she does a better job than I think I could ever do at a wedding.
There are some really cool photos in there and she captured some nice details. (I really like these photos)

The one comment I have is that she shouldn't post as much photos on her site. 5 or maybe 10 per project is enough to show what you've done and allows you to only pick the very best.
It's hard to hold the random viewer's attention through that many photos and only showing the very best you've done makes you a much better photographer. Smiley: grin

Thanks. It makes me happy that she is able to earn money doing what she loves. A goal many of us aspire to, but fall short.
