Er. Not stepping into the general topic, but you might want to read up a bit on the whole Sunni vs Shiite conflict. You might just see a pattern start to emerge and re-think that "nigh-universal" assumption.

Umm, I apparently had something to add to this discussion since I hit the "reply" button, but then something came up and...umm...

Oh yeah, I don't care if Iraqis go on killing each other, as long as the US doesn't have boys and girls in there getting involved. Get our folks out and let them finish each other off.

or, as a proper "Liberal" would put it, "I hope all the American military dies in roadside bombs" or something.
