Fire puts out you.

I'm really surprised that I haven't heard about this before, but apparently Russia is basically on fire. A lot of the fires are in or near areas of decently high population, and the infrastructure simply isn't there to deal with it anymore.

This is a link to a bunch of Google earth files that are updated with the fire situation around the world.

Interesting that it hasn't been more prominently featured in the news here. The map on the first link seems exaggerated, but it's hard to tell. Would be interesting to see some current satellite photos of the country.

Russia is suffering a moderately severe drought, which doesn't help matters. Much of Asia is flooding, in the mean time.

We actually have a bit of a smoke haze here in Edmonton. According to the local weather people, it's from forest fires burning in the Yukon, Alaska and Russia.

Crazy.

We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it

That's because the liberal media doesn't want to show you socialism failing.

I heard this on the news this evening; the weather is so bad that the smog in Moscow looks worse than Beijing, with everyone wearing masks and whatnot. Drought in Russia, flooding in Pakistan and India, and of course...they had to ask the question:

IS IT GLOBAL WARMING?!

(no it's summer)

We didn't start the fire
But when we are gone
Will it still burn on, and on, and on, and on...

Lol.

Perhaps it's being more widely covered down south then.

Anyhoo, I've seen it all over the news, however slightly upstaged by the landslides in China and the floods in India.

Terra seems to be falling apart at the seams!!

Did anyone prognosticate this?

we told them a thousand times to quit spamming the forums or else we would use our awsome psychic weather manipulation skills to end them, but did they listen? Nooooo!
