To you, sir, I doff my cap.

Have a great weekend.

If there's a 'Just Giving' donation site, link it. I'm in.

I appreciate the offer Nobby, but unfortunately there isn't a site set up for that at this time. I'll have to mention it some time this weekend and see what we can do for future events. If you're curious, I found a write up about this years concert, including some information about this year's recipient, an 8 year old boy with leukemia named Aaron Jones.

I was out at the field today after work helping to set up, and there are already people setting up camp for the weekend. Unfortunately, I couldn't get off of work tomorrow (we had a guy quit last week and it's been a bit hectic), but I'm hoping to at least cut out early. This will be my ninth year helping out at this. I'm looking forward to seeing all the people that volunteer, most of which I only ever get to see during this one weekend.

Damn, reading about kids with cancer always make me tear up.

This weekend:

Bringing a bunch of papers to be shredded and electronics for e-cycle to Goodwill.
Clean up house & laundry since my kids went to Vegas and the Grand Canyon with my parents for the week. I'm sure they're going to have a ton of stuff for me to clean when they get home.

Friday morning I need to update Takeo's portfolio pictures. I'm excited to get new ones, we get them done every 6 months.

My ceiling has been worked on for the past 2 days and I think tomorrow it should finally be finished. The drywall is up, it just needs to be smoothed and painted. The person who has been doing the work brought his dog with him who has peed and sh*t on my kitchen floor. Thank god I'm moving. Cute dog though, Full-Bred German Shepard. Pure White. I still prefer the normal colours.

Saturday I have to make a 2 hour drive south, after our morning Gymboree Classes, to attend an old school friend's daughter's 1st birthday. I have never met the baby and I haven't seen this friend since the 6th grade? Thanks Facebook....Now I have to make sure to buy a present before I arrive.

Sunday more than likely I'm going to be packing and watching some Netflix movies. I still need more boxes.

It's my Friday off day tomorrow. More yardwork. I'm getting to the point where it is starting to look like an actual yard, and where I can start installing actual plants other than the vegitable garden. I apperently have a bajillion peas and beans to pick too.

Finishing up some irrigation system tweaks, then starting the lawn edging project. After that, some more bark dust around the raised gardens and the back area around the AC condenser. Then, I try to aquire grapes! Anyone grow grapes have a good grape reccommendation?

No travel plans this weekend. Kind of have to stay local as my grandma is not doing well at the moment (not unexpected given age and other factors that I shall not go into here) so we are on alert to possibly head that direction. Saw her last weekend, she's in good spirits, but things are unfortunatly progressing. circle of life and all that. :(

Milling machine router mount arrived. So I can start attaching mechanicals to the frame now. So there is that

Turin, that's pretty awesome. I'm curious what the criteria is beyond the kid having cancer. Do you choose the kid whose family has the most financial hardship, or do you randomly choose from one of the many kids dealing with the ordeal?

My apologies if it's in the link, I haven't read it yet.

Oh, and the puppy ate a single tarot card out of my deck, so I'll have to procure a new one of those since it's ruined now. ;;

If I live near by I would go in your place, Thumb. I love going to parties that my daughter Filipino friends gave on base.

Never left without a very full stomach and they would try to make everyone feel like a part of their family.

Oh, I'm happy it's a birthday party and I get to see family that I haven't seen in 48 hours, but it's ******* Jollibee.

That restaurant is Americanized Filipino food and it amazingly sucks. They're famous for their hotdog spaghetti that people eat and no one dares to say that it sucks. I'll eat it and I'll rant internally in my head but I'll pretend that I love that ******* spaghetti because to do otherwise would mean that somehow I'm insulting my heritage.

Tonight I intend to get quite inebriated. Then I work tomorrow and Sunday night, during which I intend to work my *** off because they're considering me for promotion as one of the managers is soon to be fired for gross incompetence.

My real weekend doesn't start until Wednesday, when my vacation time starts.

I'm eagerly waiting to hear what time my friend had her baby. She was set to go in Monday to be induced, and went into labor about 7 hours ago.

We already know its a boy, so no huge surprise, but it's also her cousins birthday today so that would be kind of neat if she had her baby today.

A girl I know recently had a baby and decided to name him Ashton. The reason, I was told, is because she had a sex dream about Ashton Kutcher while she was pregnant, and decided if it was a boy to name him Ashton.

His last name is Crutcher.

You can't make this **** up.

I wonder if I can convince her to change the boys name from Kenneth to something like Fake, or Rabbit? Anything that would go with her last name would work. Hehr (yeah, hair)

It was the Seven of Cups, drawn reversed. It was a bad omen, leading to a moment of clarity. She's a little ***** though and ruined a $30 deck of cards that I loved and had an emotional attachment to. ;;

The list of things the puppy has destroyed is small, but significant:
My favorite hair clip
My tarot card
My phone charger cord (repaired, thankfully)
And a green rug, that was pretty cheap, but she can't stop chewing on

Oh, and she kinda ****** up Butters' neck/face a bit recently, but that's just as much his fault as hers. He has very sensitive skin, and a couple of nip wounds are aggravated. Tending to his hot-spots while they finish healing up is also part of my weekend plans. (Actually, BT's) Otherwise, I love her, and she causes few problems. However, she needs to start eating daddy's things and not mine.

My Great Dane ate one of my purses. I wanted to kill him. That purse was one of my favorite purses. It went with everything. I don't care that it was a knock-off. It was a knock-off black leather Birkin bag.
