Easy.. Didn't we have just have this argument a few pages ago about how I would suck as a lawyer because I have morals and values and would only want to free the innocent?
No, you'd be a terrible lawyer because you argue feelings and opinions and ignore facts.

Ok, answer this one question and I wont respond back back unless you want me to.

If the SCOTUS deemed the ban on SSM equal and fair, would that change your opinion? Why or why not?
#1380Almalieque, Posted: Aug 22 2010 at 11:26 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It's actually the exact opposite, as I stated.

If Alma deemed the ban on same sex marriage unequal and unfair, would that end this thread?

Or would it be pointless to argue non-existent positions?

Smiley: lol

You can't even do that in this thread! You're in denial about your own biases.

You kind of have to tag in and out. I'll give him this, he's got great stamina for arguing.

#1386Almalieque, Posted: Aug 22 2010 at 11:58 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What are you talking about? I've avoided personal feelings and emotions about this subject the entire thread or did you see me make an argument for or against SSM in this thread somewhere? You point out that argument, then we can talk.

As I stated, you all are the ones "avoiding the facts", by just wanting the ban on SSM lifted for any reasoning provided.

I know well enough that it's futile to try to explain it to you. The best I can do is to try to point out that for someone who's "right in the middle" you sure seem to be arguing very clearly for Prop 8. For twenty-something pages now.

If you really think that you don't have a dog in this race, that's your prerogative. But you've made it abundantly clear to everyone else here where you stand. If you can't see it, then it's to your detriment. It's no skin off my back either way.

The bolded part is great, by the way. Your self-delusion is remarkable.

When I think of Alma, I think of the scene just after the tunnel crash in I, Robot, where Will Smith's character screams "DO I LOOK LIKE I GIVE A FUCK WHAT YOU THINK?" at a couple of a cops.

No, my opinion wouldn't be changed. But I don't see how my opinion matters. I'm pretty confident they won't do that, though, because there are no good arguments to keep a ban on same-sex marriage. Not one.

And as far as you're "I've never argued against same-sex marriage," yes, you have. That's all you've done. I know, I know, you claim you're only arguing against whatever we're saying, but I don't see you arguing against gbaji's points. You are only arguing against those of us defending same-sex marriage. Interesting, that.

It's the refuge of people without a good argument. Rather then actually address any points and counter them, they argue against using that as an argument rather then arguing against the argument directly. It's also the reason why alma threads shift so much, he doesn't actually have any points to make, so he has to come up with a new tangent if someone insists on actually addressing a real issue.

/tag out again.

The only place you can play devil's advocate without appearing to be a huge douche is in history and debate and logic classes. Everywhere else, you just end up sounding like a troll.

No, not really. There's nothing more annoying than an idiot trying to be on your side.

Get real. How many times do I have to reference my position? How many times do I have to say that my opinion does not matter?

As far as I can tell, from skimming a sample of Armalicks posts, the majority of them seem to be him (or her. Havn't been ***** to figure that out yet) trying to explain what his/her previous post was about.

Perhaps Alma needs to take a lesson from that?
