I actually waited for the thread to reach 22 pages before I posted. No reason to add to the issues argue here, as the logic used by the prop 8 folks is beyond me.

I'm not an expert on law or trials or sentencing by any means, but I always thought a plea bargain had something to do with giving a break to the criminal to avoid the trail, and will be a lesser charge than it should be. Some people will accept a plea bargain even if they are innocent because it doesn't look like the trail can be won.

Given the fact that I've told him that's not what I meant by that sentence, he insists that it does, even though the original personnel understood it as it was intended.
