I was talking to some else and they brought up a good point. They live in Hollywood and brought up the point that sometimes a cell phone is needed when you're on the set. Even though an adult would be with Charmaine at all times because she's a minor but on the set, sometimes a quick text is needed to be sent to her from production on change of blocking or something and they don't want to intrude and mess up the set.

If an adult has to be with her at all times beause she's a minor, couldn't the adult simply receive the text and relay the message...?

Not if we're sitting on the sidelines and not in the actual shot.

Made me remember a couple of times when she was shooting that another actor would receive a text and then lean over and tell Charmaine something and Charmaine would move her blocking. So makes sense.

I don't remember the last time I've actually seen a payphone.

Absolutely. UCSD is one serious ghetto place, particularly after the Compton Cookout party.

You know her better than the rest of us do. If you trust her not to misuse it and can afford the extra expense, you should get her the phone.

I love that game*, and need to get the N64 version.

*I better love that game, considering I paid $86 for it a few years ago.
You can download both Ogre Battle games on Wii virtual console.

Yep, getting the one for the 64 next. The only thing I don't like about the original is that once you start a campaign, you're kinda there for an hour or two. No saving. That was easier for me when I was younger, but now I get interrupted so much.

Never played the one for the 64, but I've read good things about it.
Really? I could have sworn it did have a mid game save feature, though maybe the PS version has it and the SNES one didn't?

It has been a while since I last played it, tbh.

Well, that was already a given. This thread was more or less for people to +1.

But, again, if she's in the shot and received a text message, what's the difference between one person leaning over and telling her something and her checking her cell phone?

I have never in my life been in a professional stage setting, so I'm sure it makes more sense. I just don't understand it. Smiley: lol

Me neither, but I think it has to do with the blocking they were setting up and it made it easier to do it this way. I just didn't understand why they can't just sit on the sidelines and shout the instructions.

Well, I'm not even sure what blocking is, so there's that. Smiley: smile

Oh, and I forgot to mention. You said you were with AT&T. Their "Smart Limits" plan might work for you.

Blocking is basically making sure the actors know where they are supposed to stand, sit, pathways to walk during a scene so when actors do their run throughs, they're checking to see how angles look, etc. Which is why I don't understand why they would text someone to see "move over a couple of inches." It makes more sense to just yell it out before you start shooting.

Oh, and yeah, we're going to get the Smart Limits on AT&T but it kills me that I'll have to pay $5 a line to do this.
