Just remember to measure your portions Thumb...if you have leftovers from a meal, freeze them/put them away immediately after dinner so you're not tempted to have a little more later on. Also, brush your teeth immediately after dinner so you're more likely to drink just water and not eat more before bed.

If you're craving something specific (like your spicy scallop roll), don't just skip it...try to satisfy the craving with minimal damage. Ask for 2 pieces from the a la carte menu rather than a whole roll, and get a cucumber roll or something with it. It might be a tiny more expensive, but not much, and way nicer to your waistline. Bonus if you get it with brown rice rather than white and ask them to go light on the mayo. An occasional small indulgence helps one avoid the eating of entire cheesecakes.

In times of stress, go for a walk or meditate rather than eat if you can.
