Whatcha got this weekend?

I am making samosas tonight in preparation for Indian dinner tomorrow night that we are making for Mr. Tare'e old accounting prof and his wife. Sunday will be a yard/house chore day and afternoon at the pool. It's been stupid hot around here.

I have a sore throat too. Blech.

I'm ditching the land of make believe for the sunny shores of Chicago!

No, I'm driving 5 hours from Des Moines, IA back to home so I can spend a piddly 12 hours with the wife before I have to turn around and come back.

I've got the house to myself this weekend. I should end up writing a bit of my paper, cutting my hair, going to the gym, and attempting to make homemade picante sauce.

Oh and pizza. There will be pizza.

Samosas sound good!

Just the usual round of errands and relaxation here. Can't come soon enough to suit me.

Heading to Cleveland this weekend to spend time with a friend. I understand your feelings Kaelesh about the 12hrs then turning around. I feel that way every weekend I drive up to Cleveland. I feel like I get there late on Friday, Have Saturday then turn back around and drive home Sunday. But its worth it if you care about the person as it sounds like you do.

Enjoy your weekend.

I sign the lease on my new apartment tomorrow morning, and then I'm off to the Cubs game to celebrate a friend's birthday. We'll probably spend the better part of the afternoon sloshing around Wrigleyville and saying inappropriate things to waitresses.

Sunday is for laundry and hooking up my new HDTV.

Selling veggies, moving wood, working out, hitting the sauna/steam room/jacuzzi, reading, mowing/weed eating, and my friend just bought a restaurant right on the strip so I may help him do some demo.

Today, finish making friendship & beaded bracelets with my new littlest one. Go swimming and possibly feed the ducks at some point. Snowcones as usual per our daily stop.

Tonight, Mr DF's old boss is hosting a "watch" party for her stint in Wife Swap. It will prob be hella crowded and noisy and I am sure we won't stay the entire time so that I can come home and get me some action. I haven't seen him all week because the Mr is working OT since I want my hair done perty with purple stripes = foil & 2 processes = $$$

Tomorrow we are driving to Tulsa and I have a hair appt @2, later meeting up with around 20 or so friends & family for pool, music and drink. Then even later, since my cousin can't come to our get together, we are going to drive out to see his band play.

Sunday, Mr DF & my dad are going to play golf while grandmother drives out to have lunch with the step mom and me at my favorite restaurant. Later in the afternoon the Mr's mom and two of his kids return home from 2 weeks out on his brother's yacht. We bring the two kids back and he's taking Monday off to hang with us! We will prob spend the day at the pool soaking up rays and getting into water fights!

Tare: I have a sore throat too!!! Smiley: mad

Beach today. Night away from the kids tonight. Nothing much for tomorrow except errands. Sunday is a BBQ at Dad's "cottage" and then off to NY on Monday.

I just this very second bought tickets to see Richard Thompson at this beautiful little old country opera house. I'm excited.

This weekend I'm going to paint my picnic table. I'd like to get to the beach.....we'll see.

Today - Meeting with the head honcho/woman behind the curtain for my current field ecology research project. Then she has offered to take the work team out to dinner, presumably on the government's dime.

Saturday - Grading Papers and Phase 1 of Moving: Packing. At night I am hitting the bars for a friend's 21st.

Sunday - Phase 2 of Moving: Preliminary Cleaning for move.

Today I had to take my mom to get surgery on her knee. Smiley: frown She's doing good, though. Sleeping off the drugs.

Tomorrow, we are going to a concert at the Dyer Observatory. Should be neat.

Sunday I will most likely be doing housework and making myself go to bed at a decent hour.

My Goddaughter is coming back from her People to People trip tonight, so I'll be hanging out with her family this weekend for all the festivities and to hear about her trip. She pretty much did the whole UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland), stayed with a family for a while, and visited some members of Parliament. She claims she met Eric Clapton on the trip, but I'm pretty sure he was just some government employee poser.

Other than that, I plan on doing some work around the home, but otherwise slacking off as much as possible.

I behaved like an perfect gentleman to her, and even offered to sleep in the wet patch. Tell her I've laundered her crotchless panties and will mail them to her trailer park as agreed.

Today I bought a new tuxedo for next weekend (a relative's birthday party that has an "Oscars" theme) and found a Pierre Cardin leather jacket that was apparently designed for a 6'7" stick insect so I had to buy it.

Tomorrow is gardening, laundry, baking, cooking, decorating and (time permitting) laying down some strings and drums on a new track.

Sunday will probably involve drinking at the local tavern watching ze cherman Grand Prix on the iPad and sleeping it off in the evening.
