Jonwin and I live in a old row house without central air. I had to push our two window a/c units hard to keep our bedroom and the room our computers is in bearable today. I've been pushing fluids and fiber to prevent an recurrence of yesterdays misery. I spent too much time in the hold of the USS Constellation just to heckle one of Jonwin co-workers about his girl friend Connie.

It was lots of water and iced down bandanna the rest of the night. I at least was able to watch most of the fireworks, though I felt I was going to be sick the whole time.

I maybe should have gone to the ER, but I rather not go again anytime soon.

I found it amusing sometime last week I stepped outside and thought it was quite cooler than it had been, only to look up the current temp and it was 96.8. Thats pretty fucking sad to think almost 97f is "cool" Smiley: glare

Was it a dry heat? I know I would much rather be in 110 degree weather with very low humidity compared to 95 degree weather and have high humidity. All I know is they are predicting upper 80s here and I hate being outside due to having humidity levels averaging out around 65. :l

Going to be a hard few days on the ships. It will be a challenge to rotate folks so they can get a touch of AC and not be out for 9 hours in the heat. Course back in the 19th century they just suffered and endured.

I hope Ontario experiences a massive power outage during the severe heat.

No, really.

She's in the coastal South, so I'm gonna go with "no, no, it's quite humid."

Is this where we remark on the local weather?

83F, chance for scattered thunderstorms. Hot enough to run the AC, cool enough not to risk immediate death by mowing the lawn.

It's not ridiculously hot here, but I think we're at like...100% humidity. So it's basically a lake here.

The marine layer won't let up here by the beach so it's been cold, misty and almost drizzling. I'm wearing pants and a sweater.

95F, low humidity. It shouldn't be too bad. I plan on staying indoors as much as possible.

88 degrees right now, supposed to get in the mid 90's today. The only time the heat and humidity bother me is when I'm at work. I hate running around all hot and sweaty and the AC in the clubhouse is crap. But I'm so cold natured that anything below 70 makes me shiver.
