Percocet =/= Oxys.

Anyhoo, take a couple tylenol PMs if your back hurts & you can't sleep. For someone whom "can't handle painkillers", 2 percocets or two Oxys is too much.

The only difference between the percocet and the oxy is percocet has added tylenol. So, if he was experiences acetaminophen toxicity from two percocet, I don't think tylenol PMs are what he should be taking.
If you're experiencing acetaminophen toxicity from that little of it, you need to get checked for liver function badly.

And you should probably cut down on your 5 gallons/day booze habit.

Or you shouldn't be like "OH GOD IT HURTS, MUST TAKE EIGHT TYLENOL AND SEE IF THAT CURES IT FIRST". Mix your OTC analgesics when possible to at least try to avoid toxicity from any one in particular. (For example, if you've got Percocet, aspirin, Advil, and Tylenol lying around the house, ignore the bottle of Tylenol entirely as it's duplicated by the Percocet. Also, start with the aspirin as it's less likely to have dangerous side effects for the average person, even in large doses.)

I guess they only could've helped him if he was closer to dying. The suffering thing doesn't matter when you're poor.

i can't handle asprin either, i break out in hives when i take anything with aspirin. found that out the hard way one day when i took excedrin for a migraine. and yes, the percocet do have oxy in them. my liver function was checked while there and it was fine but they were wanting to give me Glutathione to counter the toxicity of the acetaminophen. has for the e.r. bill its nothing a couple paychecks wont cover. the whole experience was just something new and scary for me so i was more than likely just over reacting to what is really just a common allergic reaction to the medication. the third world country i live in is called arkansas, never live here.
