Locked,

Unless of course your plan was to get fired so as to distance yourself from the f*cked up plan Obama is planning on going ahead with.

Yeah, involuntary resignation after your candid conversations are made public is SUCH a better way to protest policy than being up front about your feelings and stepping down!

I think the real story is him and his staff's terrible taste in booze. Bud Lite Lime? WTF!

He should be fired for that travesty alone.

Jophed,

Let's see Obama didn't support Mccrystal. Obama didn't give him what he needed when he needed it. Obama hasn't spent more than a couple hours meeting with the guy who's running the show in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is getting worse. Lot's of reasons to abandon Obama's ship.

McChrystal seems to be leaving the White House rather than attending the war strategy session...
AP wrote:
Afghanistan war commander Gen. Stanley McChrystal met privately with President Barack Obama at the White House Wednesday and then departed ahead of a scheduled war strategy session. There was no immediate word on whether Obama would fire him for his inflammatory remarks in a magazine interview.

Officials had initially indicated that McChrystal would attend the strategy session on Afghanistan to explain remarks he made in the interview with Rolling Stone magazine. But he was seen leaving the West Wing and climbing into a van after his nearly half-hour face-to-face meeting with the president. McChrystal had met earlier in the day with Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Adm. Mike Mullen.
