Stimulus failing miserablyFollow

So the Obama administration thought stealing money from the producers to support the non-producers was the best way to stimulate the economy. And Obama is praising this as a victory for his administration.

I wonder if you liberal democrats realize that without the census govn workers the US would have lost close to 500k jobs last month?

The US census workers were an artificial gain to the job market. Ignoring that, and factoring in the people leaving the market there were about 20-25K jobs created, which is certainly lower then hoped. There was certainly no massive loss in jobs.

Hey dumbfUck, usually folks link directly to the article they want to discuss rather than the entire publication. In any event, just by glancing at that page I can see that census hiring accounted for 411k out of 431k jobs added.

431k minus 411k does not equal negative 500k. This kind of math fail is probably why you still work for and live with your dad.

So the govn hires close to 400k and the private sector gains aprox 25k and you think jobs were created?

What's going on in this thread has nothing to do with conservatism.

You're right...we're talking about Obamanomics. And that is as far from conservative as you can get.

If the private sector would stop outsourcing our manufacturing jobs to China, we might have greater jobs gains stateside.

You can only have so many people working at McDs.

And our support services jobs to India? I thought I'd have to move to Bangalore, but Chuck Schumer is proposing an Outsourcing Tax to keep jobs state-side.

Smiley: lol Man you're a stupid *****. When you refer to manufacturing jobs as being "our" jobs I simply point out that it's not "your" (american citizens) jobs to begin with. These are jobs created by companies so that they may profit from employing people. If they can find a telemarketer in India to do the job for a fraction of the cost it takes to hire someone in the US there's nothing that the US govn should do to stop them; provided the countries they're going to have adequate child labour laws. Just more of typical liberal america thinking they deserve something just because they were born in the US. Smiley: oyvey

I don't think it should be offensive to expect that American citizens should expect to find jobs with American companies in America.

Meh, I've been called worse.

Outsourcing CS jobs overseas may seem like a good idea, but some of those companies deliver inferior service, and routinely lie about how much money they're actually making.

For inbound and outbound sales, most companies are smart to stick to US based marketing firms. When I was doing IT sales, most people I talked were grateful that it was someone from Atlanta and not someone from New Delhi that was trying to convince them to buy new servers.

And if this turns out to be more profitable than outsourcing I say go for it. Taxing companies extra simply because they choose to operate outside the US is anti-freedom and ant-capitalist to say the least. I say make the climate in the US more conducive to business so these companies are more profitable doing business in the US than taking their operations overseas.
