While my head said Germany, my heart said España. Once again in this world cup, form and track record meant nothing.

Spain were the better side and deserved their win.

As I've said before, I miss goalkeeper.
Who actually played better didn't matter at all. The Octopus called it.

Does the octopus only predict Germany's matches or will it predict the finals as well? Smiley: tongue

It only works for Germany as far as I know, but at least it can tell us who'll take third.

After all the thuggish tackles and that off the ball dive trying to get Iniesta sent off (right after fouling him) I can't say I feel even slightly sorry for the Dutch. They were lucky not to be down to nine men after the first half.

I'm glad Spain won. Despite the constant fouling, they played good, fluid, very technical football. It's a pity Torres wasn't match fit.

Spain deserved it, on the night and overall. Iniesta is a superb player, very underrated, and it's only fitting he got the winning goal. Spain have been amazing for the last 4 years, they have an incredibly gifted generation, and they play gorgeous football. Worthy winners.
