It's Friday:) Wootly-tootly-doo.

What are everyone's big plans?

We finally had some rain this week; On my way out this morning I did a quick tour of my garden. It was encouraging, but I'll need to weed. My first real weeding session:).

I'm heading out of work early (2 hours to go!!) to meet the hubby and a friend downtown for lunch. Sunday is a graduation open-house back in our old neighborhood.

I took no one's book suggestions from my earlier thread, but instead hit up my kids bookshelf again. I found a book called Empress by Karen Miller. I think it's becoming a can't-put-it-downer. So...I'll likely spend a good deal of the weekend with my nose buried in mah book.

I haven't been sleeping well this week so I suspect I'll be snoozing for a significant percentage of the weekend.

Since being hit on the head, my system been out of rack due to having to take pain medication for the headaches I been getting. I plan to stay at home and follow my doctors orders, in hope that things will start moving again.

Thankfully I am not getting the migraines I had right after the accident, so I'm not taking as much pain medication as I did at first. Problem is last weekend is the one of the few times a year that I allow myself to over do things knowing that I will flare afterwards. So my body been aching for a week now and I may be coming down with Hotel Convention Crud. Doctor said my throat was redSmiley: frown

Hopefully Monday I'll be feeling better and able to go into the center for the womans group. I need a chance to talk, where I feel comfortable addressing issues that the last month has added to the mess called my life. Maybe I'll even remember to bring some jazz and blues from the 20's and 30's on CD, with me for music.

The weather is going to be grossly hot this weekend. We'll hit the pool, do some shopping and get ready for my sister-in-law coming next week. Wanna work on our deck/outdoor living area too. Tonight I am out for drinks with DSD! Wee!

I hate these threads with my new job, because my weekend is usually work 5-11 Friday night then back in for a nice 10am-11pm shift Saturday. I pray for the half-hour break I got last Saturday, but that was luck. Sunday we'll go to my grandma's pick my grandma up to go to a birthday party for my neice/goddaughter at my aunt's (oh help me god), and my grandma's pet parrot she's had nearly my entire life died in my hands last night. Goddamnit. Oh well, next weekend might be D&D for the first time in a couple of months, so next Friday thread's post should be less ranty. >_>

Gonna mostly slack off this weekend (yay!). I've got some servers I'm configuring that'll run into the weekend, but I'm hoping I can mostly just let that do it's thing. Saturday will be lazy, hang out at home, time. Sunday, I'm going to be doing some all-day thing with my family for one of my Niece's graduation ceremony. Should be fun.

I've been doing as little as humanly possible this weekend, just R. and R. I did have my first "you kids get off my lawn" moment though today, which was fun. I'm sitting downstairs watching TV, when I hear a loud thumping and clanking sound coming from my front door area. So I go check and I see this maybe 7 or 8 year old kid hanging by his arms from the top of the brick column right next to my door, trying to climb up the rest of the way by walking up the side of my house with his rather muddy shoes. The resulting conversation was rather akward, with plenty of "no sir, sorry sir, i'll leave now sir's" thrown in. Eventually I determined that the kid had seen the starlings flying down into their nest in the column and was trying to look for them. He also apperently saw the attic monster birdnests and wanted to know what they were, while still stammering out appologies over getting the side of my house muddy. Then he proceeded to try and use his scooter across my lawn, and eventually fell over the side of the shorter end of the retaining wall. I was trying too hard not to laugh at the whole situation to really give the kid a bad time, though I am a bit annoyed about the footprints. i just painted that section. Ah well. I have to say I don't think I ever did anything quite like that when I was a kid.

Been spending my weekend slowly cutting down the field that used to be my yard. Going over a month without a lawn tractor has been nice for the massive amounts of blackeyed susans that have thrived do to the lack of being cut. The fun part is having to wait till about noon to start cutting do to the moisture in the lawn from the dew. If I don't wait even the tractor can't cut it. It's beastly hot and humid here also.

Tested one of my weapons kids for her Jr. Black Belt in Kobudo. Spent all day saturday teaching karate as is normal. Went out for dinner afterwards with those people.

Its sunday morning now and I am entertaining Tacosid Jr. as he is crawling around and such making a hell of a lot of noise. About to head to church and then I might do my southern duty and watch some of the nascar race.

I assume "weapons kids" means kids who are training in some sort of martial arts weapon but my first thought was that these are the kids you throw at danger when it threatens you.

Hope things are going well for you.

Not that I would not throw them in the way of danger if need be...

My karate school has gotten insanely big...I have 150 or so students now and we have an afterschool program and everything. I own a bunch of 15 passenger vans and all things included its nuts. I have 40 black belts under me now and most of them are still active.

The weapons class has about 20 in it. Fun stuff....some years back I made black belt in Okinawan Kobudo which is a different discipline that my empty hand style of isshin-ryu. I have been teaching weapons for several years now. Three of my students have made black belt in that now too.

On top of that, last summer my wife and I had a boy. He is ten months now. How old is Jophiel Jr. now?

Anyhow...I check this forum every now and again just to see how all of you are doing.

Jophiel Jr turned 11 in March. We're expecting Jophiel Mark III (or Atomicflea v2.0, no we don't know which yet) in late October or early November.
