I had to start the Friday thread early this morning, since I won't have much access to a computer this weekend. So post away your weekend plans. Jonwin and I are doing our normal Memorial weekend thing.

I'm up this early because today is the first day of Balticon44 and someone has to be there to set up the special need signs.

I'm all packed but for a few items that I can't find. Darn scatterbrain that I am, I'll just hope that things will appear at the last minute. Most likely next week when I no longer need them.

Anyway I'll be busy seeing friends meeting new ones and talking with writers, artist and scientists, for the 4 days and nights. The late night parties are great place to chat to the writers.

Jonwin will be there also, but has to work during the the day today and Sunday, then showing up just as he is needed to relieve one mind blown volunteer. He is running special needs as the Coordinator, but I get to do alot of the grunt work.

See you all Tuesday.

I'm up pretty early too; I fell asleep early last night (like ten). I also have poison ivy covering my arms, which is fun.

Very lazy weekend! I've got a few things to finish up for a Baby Fair I'm heading to soon so I'll try and get those done. Otherwise sleeping in, chilling with the fam, and gaming are about all I want to contemplate

I would have thought you'd be the type to keep the crib & changing table from the first three.

I had the past two days off (kind of) so I can't complain too much, but I work all night tonight and all day tomorrow. Luckily now, I work at a downtown restaurant that isn't stupid enough to open on Memorial Day, so I get another two days in a row off after that. So I have a bitter sandwich of work-time that I have to get through, but at least I get to get a few hours of FFXI in today before I take a bite.

I was scratching my vacation cap so I had to take a few days off or else lose them. So I'm off from tomorrow through Wednesday, work Thursday/Friday and then back to the weekend.

No big plans though. Cable guy coming for an installation and attending an awards thingie at my son's school on Tuesday since he's getting the Presidential Award for Educational Excellence or something like that.

No special plans. Mulling over a barbecue invitation - it's been rainy and cool here all week, very odd for May, but should be nice over the weekend so we'll see.

I've been fermenting a story idea for a while so I'm going to set aside some time to outline that and see if I want to dig into it or let it sit for a bit longer.

Three day weekend as well. Going to play a few PS3 games that have been gathering dust or play some more Dragon Age. Brat Fest along with many alcoholic beverages to help wash down the many delicious meat ***** I will be inserting in and around my mouth hole. Also going to sleep in tomorrow because I'm still shaking off a nasty cold. Meeting up with some friends from work at a nice bar here in town and hopefully creating an incredibly awkward work environment by hooking up with a coworker.

Need to make a friend that has a boat so I can spend some time out on the lakes this year.

Tonight driving two cars to Tulsa, since neither car we own will hold all 6 of us. I will probably take the one child with me who wants to listen to loud screaming music. Smiley: grin

Tomorrow, going to mow yard at my old house in the morning, then BBQ, swimming and stuff with the 'rents and introduce them to their newest step grandkids. Sat night, probably passed out from the day, heat, alcohol and the sunburn.

Sunday, go to grandmas, BBQ, swimming and stuff and introduce her to her newest step grandkids. Sunday night, drive home.

Monday: SLEEP Smiley: snore

There's a brat fest in Wisconsin? I've been to several in Ohio.

My uncle had a boat on the lakes; granted it was Erie but it's not so nasty out on the islands.

Not much planned here. Hubby and I kept waffling back and forth on going camping. It was a memorial day tradition for years that we've ignored since we moved to this house. I think we tacitly agreed sleeping in a tent on a cold hard ground wasn't as appealing as it once one.

We need a Winnebago!

Sigh, Not a great friday for me. I have to work. Crappy boss denied my vacation request. I had asked for the whole week off up to Labor day. Instead he claimed "Coverage issues" and then gave his buddies off. I've been hearing that in order to get your days off you have to bribe him. God I love State jobs!

Well, I bought some poison ivy killer and went to work on more of the stuff out by the road. Damn, you could support the Golden Gate Bridge with these vines! I mean, not that you'd want to suspend a bridge with vines that can be chopped down with a hatchet and clipped with pruning shears, but you get my point. Pulled several three-inch-diameter roots out of the ground that had been winding up a tree. It's choking out everything, so much that I was just hacking away indiscriminately and probably killed some good growth. The tree on the neighbor's side has curtains of poison ivy hanging down like Spanish moss.

Looks like a slight change of plans. Moved my PS3 over to me mums house so I can help her out over the weekend. She's had back problems for years and now one of her discs is enlarged or something along those lines. Quite a bit of pain for her. Should still be able to do what I like for original plans, but I owe her way beyond this for being such an incredibly huge **** in my teenage years. Smiley: lol

Played in the mud, quite literally most of the moning. 4 day weekend for me. yay! though for a while it looked like they were going to insist I come in and set up the AV gear for a meeting on monday. That did not occur however.

Raised garden is finally, after many delays, done. Who knew it was so damend hard to get dirt delivered. Dirt is also no longer dirt cheap by the way. It was raining all day, so not the smartest time ever to move dirt, but it needed to be done. Sprinkler heads installed in the raised bed, going to install the heads in the beds along the house itself tomorrow, maybe even a pressure test by sunday if I succeed in finding the water line to tie into. It has to be there somewhere, and I've found everything else so far (literally. I even found Jimmy Hoffa!)

Will also aquire some plants tomorrow. I know it's kind of late to start the garden, but I hope to get something at least this year.

Have discovered that my aquarium heater, the supposedly "unbreakable submersable no problems with it ever super duper heater of doom" heater has apperently split it's caising down the middle. I'm lucky my fish were not all electrocuted. It is however rather chilly in tropical fish land at the moment, so tomorrow will be emergancy trip to pet store to get a new one.

Monday having family over for barbiqueing of things. should be fun!
