Yup. The cheesy '80s version of the 1812 Overture is of course an optional step, but I wouldn't skip it if I were you.

I guess you can't get at moles with your lawnmower. Got a rototiller?

1. Find the highest elevation (if land is sloped) hole
2. Insert running hose
3. Wait 'till water exits furthest hole
4. ???????
5. Moleageddon

We have moles as well. From what I've read, the only thing that works with any real effectiveness are those spring-loaded spike traps. I haven't gotten around to trapping their tunnels all Vietcong style but it's probably just a matter of time.

Ancient wisdom passed down through the ages from my forbearers say that moles go crazy for jucyfruit gum for some reason. Bait trap with that, unchewed, dead mole every time.

Use gasoline and re-create Caddyshack.

I don't think it would work. Moles have multiple escape holes, and I'm pretty sure they engineer their dwellings to maximize draining efficiency.

I might try badminton. I think setting up the badminton net over the area and playing at least three games a day might drive them out.

Couple things like raccoons, foxes and owls (when the mole comes up, of course). Having a fox digging holes in my lawn trying to catch the mole it hears wouldn't exactly help the lawn situation.

You could always get some English to run off the foxes, if you can stand the sound of baying hounds.

This is beginning to sound like the old lady that swallowed a fly.

Back in the '70's I could hear birds just outside my bedroom but never could figure out where the nest was, though I often saw the birds flying back and forth to our roof. Fall came and went and I forgot about the bird nest until one day my little brother fell through the attic floor into the garage below. There stuck to the dry wall, was a dead bird.

It seems that they had gotten in through a hole along the side of the house, that was made with high winds brew off some siding and when my parents finally repaired the siding, one of the poor birds was still inside the attic, were it died.

I've taken to liking cats and thick walls so I don't have to listen to mice at night. We had a bat fly into one house when my kids were little and scare everyone until we were able to get it to fly back out the bedroom window that was open. That was last night it stayed open without a window screen. we had just moved in and yet to make it to the hardware store for new ones. That same week my youngest roll over and started screaming that there was a giant cricket in her bed. With the windows open they were very loud in the room and one of our cats had climb into bed with her.

That's how we used to get the rattlesnakes together for the Rattlesnake Rodeo in Mobile, AL.

Did you run around trying to catch the "black chicken" for supper? Cause that would have been funny...

Our cats are geting lazy, saw a mouse about two weeks ago.

I had a bat in an upstairs room once, scared me when I walked into the room and turned on the light. Think it may have gotten in via the air vent in the bathroom. Caught it in a towel and set it free outside. This was way before Elne moved in.

We have a wild mother cat who has a litter of three month old kittens. She has recently started bringing in chipmunks for them to play with. Got rid of one kitten yesterday but the others are all wild and hard to catch and give away.
