My 3 yr old is hooked on some sort of generic Lucky Charm Cereal (don't look at me I didnt buy it) and I have to say, the box itself is beyond creepy to me. I actually was trying to figure out if I have ever seen anythign creepier for a kids food and I think this tops it.

Creepy Cereal Box

What other creepy kids logos or images to sell have freaked you out either in the past or now? Anything you wont buy because of a product image?

I always thought Count Chocula was rather unsettling, but from time to time, I do enjoy perusing unintentionally perverted child toys.

TILT
No logos but, as a child, the cryptic phrase on the cereal box "This product is sold by weight, not volume" seemed somewhat disquieting to me. I couldn't figure out what it meant or why it'd be on the same box with a cartoon tiger on the front and a maze & breakfast word jumble on the back.

My Dad worked for the cereal division of General Mills. After listening to us three girls constantly bickering over who got the most of them crunchy lil' marshmallows in the box of Lucky Charms, he started bringing us home a supplemental bag of just the marshmallows. I never got to eat Captain Crunch unless I spent the night at my girlfriends house.

Star guy looks like he could be related to Sponge Bob. Often times the advertising gimmick is less creepy than the actual product. Do you know what them marshmallows are made of?

Thats a fair representation of what kids will look like after you stuff them full of processed sugars at breakfast time.

13 grammes of sugar per serving for breakfast FFS! Poison. Thats what it is.

The only creepy cereal logos I've seen are that of the ALDI Brand like in the OP.
I like the Fruit Loops one. Manta Ray looking thing going through loops.
My youngest brother only eats the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one. It has some odd furry animal on it iirc.

ALDI's has great food, but I wonder sometimes about the cereal boxes. But then I turn them around and have fun with their easy puzzles and word find/crosses.

I bought this cereal based solely on the name a few months ago. Not creepy, but definitely oddly branded.

Also, have you ever read the back of a King Vitaman box? The cereal itself is bad, but the riddles, which haven't changed in 30 years, are worse.

Oddly enough, that's where the husband bought this cereal box from. How interesting. I think next time he goes to Aldi I'm going to have to tag along if only to view the other cereal boxes and take pics of any other creepy ones

Um, what?

I could eat a whole grapefruit and a slice of rye toast, and I'd be taking in more sugar than I would be if I ate a bowl of that cereal.

A lot more.

Are you saying that the sugars found in a grapefruit are the same as the sugars that are used to make marshmallows to put in a cereal for kids?

Substantially so, yes.

If you bring up the stupid argument against high-fructose corn syrup, I'm going to bring up that apples and pears have a higher ratio of fructose to glucose than HFCS does.

EDIT: And that therefore apple and pear juice are worse for you than soda pop.

No, pointing out how the "HFCS is poison" argument is stupid.

So, does the star have impact craters, or did it just recently get over the pox? I may not be an astronomy / marine biology major, but I'm pretty certain stars aren't supposed to have craters.

Yea all the "kid" cereal boxes have creepy characters on them. There is maybe 10 of them (one for each major cereal out there).

Yeah, but the apple and the orange have a lot more fiber and water relative to the sugar than Sugar Coated Carbohydrate Bombs do.
