On April 30th, 2005 I joined a little project brought to The Asylum by Kaolian: OGame. Sadly, despite the strong initial surge of Asylumites, the only two left are myself and Soracloud. Even more sadly, it's been years since I even posted here.

I tried to start up the US version recently, then I remembered how long it took to do anything after level 4. Ouch.

I used to play in Universe 10 in Ogame, but it was so completely dead that I could forget to fleetsave for days and not get crashed.
Buildings aren't too bad once you get Nanites built, but those take days to complete and suck in terms of resource consumption. Wouldn't be bad if there were actual raid targets, but in a dead uni raid targets are slim...really slim.

Days? I just finished a research that took 7 months! I have enough defenses though where I never fleetsave and only have to check it once a week or so.
Edit: Not much Moe, just doing the usual 80 hours a week at work plus full-time college plus the reserves. You know, chillin. I just looked over the first page of threads here and a lot of you really keep the candles burning! Samira, DSD, Moe, Demea, of course Jophiel...no Gbaji though did he die?

I got pissed at ogame when I ended up losing my fleet yet again, and this time it was due to a glitch on the vacation system. Someone else has my account now. I think it might still be the largest turtle moon in uni 1 though. Oh well. never being able to really get ahead in that game unless you had hours a day to play got really old.

I was rather enjoying Ogame until one day I logged in to find my largest fleet gone and most of my defenses wiped out. That wouldn't have been an issue for me if I could have found out who did it. Thanks to a glitch in their messaging system I never got the you have been attacked by so and so message. I deleted my account that day and never looked back.

I've debated going back to Ogame, but it's too much of a time sink to make form of progress so I always decide not to. It was good for killing time, but it got annoying once you got into the top 100.
