I tend to think it's more important that the message is understandable than that it's delivered with perfect spelling and/or grammar. I know for a fact that I leave mistakes in my posts all the time. Usually, it's because my fingers type automatically and I don't notice that I wrote "your" instead of "you're" until after the fact, for example. Unless the error is particularly annoying, or might change the meaning of a sentence I wrote, I usually don't bother to correct it.
I also don't criticize others about spelling or grammar, unless it's eye-bleedingly bad, or I can't figure out what they're trying to say, or they're themselves being a grammar **** whilst making mistakes of their own (yeah! I'm looking over there at you Moe!).
Um... So does the fact that these are just normal people (bad spelling and all) make their positions less valid? Would it be better if some well funded organization wrote all their signs for them? At the risk of being obvious, this is what real "grass roots" looks like. Warts and all...
