Ouch. That's gotta hurt. Even allowing for the unscientific nature of an open ended poll where it doesn't stop repeat voters, you'd think that at least some of the hopey-changey folks would have been motivated to show up to at least counter the sheer negatavism that is seen in these numbers.

Can you say "one term President?"

He did enough in this term that I won't be upset to see him not make a second.

I'll actually vote this time, though.

I no longer consider CBS worth my time.

And yeah, Freepers. The Kossacks have jobs and things like that that prevent them from going to internet polls en masse just to distort things to the left. It's the retired and unemployed Rs that descend in droves in between Teabagging that have time to waste on that sort of thing.

To allow is to disregard entirely, I'm afraid.

That's priceless. So am I to assume from now on every liberal protest is comprised primarily of jobless relics?

Just as easily as I can say "massive rise in the cost of healthcare".

Did your insurance drop 2500$ annually yet?

Didn't you read the Anne Coulter protest thread? They're made up of students.

And if you believe gbaji, students controlled through telepathic hive mind by shadowy professional political protest organizers and run according to the whims of vice presidents at major universities.

On noes! Not only has my insurance not magically dropped a week after the bill was signed but my mom was eaten by a death panel!!!! Smiley: frown

And yet the bill is STILL now the law forever and ever and ever! Smiley: laugh

And here's a huge surprise! We were right. A Federal judge has ruled warrant-less wiretaps illegal, sure enough.

Who would have THOUGHT it?

No, it really is. Many of your arguments revolve around you using some imaginary world to make a point ("But you KNOW if he said X, you'd say Y! It's true and you know it!") and I can only assume it's because since your own values and reactions are so prone to shift on an ideological breeze that you just innately believe that everyone else shares your faults.

Want to lay down odds that if the Dems were doing well in the elections today, we would be tripping over all the stories talking about how significant they are in terms of support for Obama and the Dem Congress?

OMGOMGOMG.... And what are the odds that the pigeon wizards would turn everyone into greyscale rainbows?!?!?!?!

I bet it's 67:93 against with a chance of showers in the late afternoon!!!!!!

Excellent point though. If the imaginary world matches the one in your mind, it really proves you right! Smiley: thumbsup

Do you realize at all how lame the "But if it was Bush you KNOW you'd act just like THIS!!" argument is? Any idea at all?

Less lame than you denying it. You've rarely held back at an opportunity to bash Bush if there was any possible way to connect him to something negative Joph.
So we're using imaginary things as valid debates now? I get to start saying "If this was Bush you KNOW you'd be supporting it!" and that counts? Wow... well, okay. I'll file that one away.

Searching Jophiel for the word "imaginary" is fun.

I was just curious how often gbaji used the "but if this was this situation were the other way around you just know you be playing it it up/down!" argument. It seems to be at least once a month.

My use of that argument is pretty much consistent with the frequency with which people do change their support or opposition based solely on the results of the poll or survey in question. I'm not the one making Joph dismiss a poll like this with a call of "freepers", yet embrace polls with identical methodology as absolute fact when it suits him. Given that Joph is one of the worst offenders in the "link to any source/site which supports my ideological position" category on this forum, it's somewhat absurd for him to get so uppity when that fact is called out.

I point this out repeatedly because it's true... repeatedly.

That's a joke, right? Show me where I have ever used an internet poll as a cite, be it one supporting my stance or refuting it.

Blaming zone overcrowding on a poor defenceless forum poll! For shame! The poll also has no fence.

I find my post 0 fence ive.

Regardless how often you believe it is true, it's a meaningless comment. Insulting someone on the basis of asserting that they would do something is stupid, especially when you have a clear motive to bend the truth.
