Demonstrably not, at least not recently.

Oh, sure, there were the hookers-and-blow extravaganzas during the Roosevelt glory years.

Please, show how. The recent spending of both parties was put to light in this very thread, which led from comments like "Well, the DNC is just as bad!" to "Uh, well, it doesn't matter anyway!"

What you're willfully ignoring is the gop isn't going to have to sell itself this election cycle. All they have to do to win is run against obamacare.

So, what you're saying then is that blatant hyprocrisy is fine so long as they win in spite of it?

And you wonder why people don't buy your projected attitude of moral superiority....

The DNC also gets donations from members, and spends that money... How about comparing apples to apples, oh clueless one.

Oh God, you've become Varus. Nice comparison there gbaji, comparing the RNC with the current government as opposed to, oh, say, the DNC.

Specifically the DNC who spends other people's donated money for things they want and then report those things to the FEC. Then we all learn if the things they wanted included private jets and bondage club visits.

Sure, let me know the same thing. Is this retroactive? Because I've got a list of reimbursements due from the last administration.

Incredibly biased liberal source!
Quote:
Not quite as salacious because Josephine, the club rented by the DNC, does not employ like topless dancers like the club visited by the RNC. The Daily Caller also reports that Tim Kaine has only used a private jet twice, and can justify each expense (flight cancellations).

Daily Caller wrote:
Democrats booked Josephine for a staff Christmas party in December and spent $5,850 to rent the club for three hours. An event marketing manager at the club said between 150 and 200 attended the event.

DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse confirmed the expenditure, and said the party included a talent competition, was strictly for staff and that no fundraising was conducted there.

Woodhouse argued the RNC is highlighting the expense because, “They’re in the crosshairs and now they want to attack someone else.”

Josephine does not feature any topless dancers or imitation of sexual acts by performers, as Voyeur does, a club source said.

Note: I just checked the websites and reviews on all of the clubs and bars you listed. Not one of them was a strip club, and most of them were upper class venues (especially the Standard Club; swanky!). Kindly stop lying, thanks.

The accusations aren't necessary. It's only lying if he bothered to find out what the truth was. Linking the first thing he came to that fit his narrative without fact checking just makes him a dumbass, not a liar.

Yes. My point is that this is a red herring tossed out there for the sheep to obsess over. We're supposed to care about the relative spending habits of the RNC and the DNC while ignoring the spending policies of the political parties at hand when they're spending our money? Isn't that kinda foolish?

I don't really care much what they do with their own money. I care a great deal what they do with mine...

Donors to the RNC care which is kind of the point you're working feverishly to avoid.

Er? I specifically stated that the only people who care are the donors. That's hardly "avoiding" that issue. My point is that this is somewhat irrelevant from a broader point of view. It's like arguing about who's going to pick up the tab for dinner while the restaurant is burning down.

The absurdity of this whole thing is that someone apparently thought it was a big deal to point out some discrepancies in the spending of voluntary donors private money by the RNC, while at the same time the Democratic party, controlling both houses of congress and the white house are spending public money at an insane rate. Are you going to try to claim that the article (and the purpose for posting it on this forum) wasn't about trying to paint Conservatives as being hypocritical when opposing Democrat spending? Cause I thought it was pretty obvious that this was the entire point here. Yet, that is clearly a false equivalence.

The most relevant point is that the spending by the RNC highlighted in that article is private donor money, while the spending by the Democrat party which conservatives complain about is public money. That is the most important thing, yet you want "feverishly" to avoid any discussion of that fact.

I thought it was pretty obvious that this thread was about how funny it was that they spent so much at a lesbian bondage strip club and they are the party of values and abhor homosexuality and any sexual deviance.

Actually this thread is about Dems attacking RNC spending habits. We know you people need to do this, and a lot more of it, if you expect the people to forget how you've spent over 1 trillion dollars on a plan very few want.

Fox is carrying this story now so the dems couldn't save it then use it as an october surprise. You know the dnc is furious this story broke so far away from the election.
