Teabaggers attack a fellow Republican?Follow

#1 Mar 27 2010 at 10:47 PM Rating: Excellent
Caught on video: Anti-McCain protester was attacked at a Palin rally. No, he wasn't a Dem, or an Obama fan. He was a supporter of McCain's Republican primary opponent, J.D. Hayworth.

In other words, the Teabaggers are eating their own. Republican on Republican. Conservative on conservative.

What with the ideological purging of the party over the last year (the most recent example being David Frum being politely fired from the AEI), a physical purging of the party was inevitable.

If you don't love you some McCain, you're out. If you don't think Palin is the Second Coming in high heels, you can't call yourself a Republican.

And if you dare so much as utter a word in protest, they're gonna chew you up and spit you out!

Pft, amateurs. When it comes to infighting you can't beat the left. In that specific category, that is. You can quite often beat the left more generally, often as a result.

So, you know nothing about Republican party politics or Conservative ideology but can have a LOL at an article you read? Cool.

My favorite part:
Protester: OMG WHAT's YOUR PROBLEM?!
Random passer-by: You're a douche, that's our problem.

Of course I posted it for the lulz. I also lol at equally amusing Democrat things, like Blagojavich, his corruption, and his hair; Edwards, his infidelity, and his hair; and most recently that idiot Dem state senator who made a crack about Japan needing more than 2 nukes to prevent anime from happening (someone must have shown him Legend of the Overfiend.)

It's funny as hell when people make a fool of themselves and then still try to pretend they're relevant. It's not quite as funny when people get hurt, as happened in the video, but in the case of the Republicans these days, you reap what you sow.

Well... gosh. I can't imagine that it's because it's the only tactic they've been assiduously taught for two years: show up and shout down.

What? Is that what we Republicans get to say about the crazy liberal professor who murdered her colleauges? Does that mean that every professor that's a liberal is prone to murderous rampages and should now be profiled and watched as potential threats?

Anytime the Democrats in DC do something they know the general public doesn't want they, with the support of most of the media, try to marginalize their opponents by taking random acts of violence and associating them with their opposition.

Maybe it'll work...maybe it won't. We'll know in November.

1. Note that a boardroom meeting is different than a political protest.
2. Not all professors are crazy. And not all of them are liberal. Not all teapartiers are crazy. All of them are conservative, or retarded, or both.
3. Who said anything about profiling or watching, besides you? Is there a reason you want this to happen?

The DHS actually started this with its assessment of Rightwing Extremism that suggests people who oppose the current administration are terrorists.

Didn't they say the same about the Leftwing Extremism when Bush was in power?

It'll be a stretch, but try not to be a niggling ****. The post you quoted and responded to referenced things outside of the video and the thread, as did at least one other before it.

I am not aware of it if they did. I can find the assessment made, and released, by DHS within 6 months of the current president taking office. I'd love to see it if you can find something similar from DHS referring to the average democrat as a potential terrorist.

I thought I had heard similar complaints from liberal posters here during that time. I have no idea what was or wasn't said. It wasn't a poke, but an honest question/comment.

I do recall Bush insinuating that we (foreign allies) were either with you or a terrorist when it came to invading Iraq/Afghan. But then again, Bush was an idiot.

I didn't take it as a poke, I would be genuinely interested in seeing the assessment if it exists, mostly so I could tell my fellow conservatives to STFU about it.

As to Bush's remarks, I didn't find them offensive at the time because, like many other Americans, I was not in any way interested in listening to anything anyone else had to say about how we prosecuted our foreign policy.

Heh. No.

It's saying "Here's some stuff right-wing extremists typically get worked up about and why they may start getting worked up now." It is not saying "Anyone who cares about any of this stuff is a terrorist." C'mon, you're smarter than that, Moe.

Almost smart enough to use language that avoided the declarative, suggesting an allusion or an inference. Niggling linguistics. Damn them all to hell.

Did you actually just say that the elected officials on the Left are equivalent in stupidity to random riff raff showing up at a political rally on the right?

Cause that's not exactly a great argument...

At the risk of stating the obvious, the people in that video aren't elected officials or party leaders. As far as I know, they aren't even volunteer staffers for anyone. What's funny as hell is someone trying to make this into some kind of grand statement about an entire political party or movement.

Specks and planks and all that...

I would hope even you are able to see the difference between the 'media company' working for the 'Party' as opposed to the 'Party' working for the 'media company'.

Media has always leaned one way or another, The fact that the Republican Party now appears to be working for Fox News seems a little odd to me.

You reckon thats OK tho??

The Obama administration directly gives talking points to the msm and you think it's odd that a few gop members are now working for Fox.

You misunderstand me. (No surprise there)

I'm not talking about a 'few members'. I'm saying the 'Republican Party' now works for Fox News, and the 'Republican Party' now looks to the likes of Glenn Beck for leadership.

Following me yet?
