Liberal Talk Hosts are t3h dumzorz 2Follow

I know, it's actually difficult to find a radio station these days that will actually intentionally lose the money putting one on entails, but there are liberal talk hosts. Some of them graduate from radio to a medium their faces were never meant for.

Ed Shultz. MSNBC. (I know, nothing more really needs to be said.)
Ed Schultz wrote:
I hope the Democrats now turn to the Fairness Doctrine. It’s time now for the Democrats to consider the Fairness Doctrine when you’ve got Rush Limbaugh out there saying, it’s, we’ve got to defeat these bastards. He is now openly admitting that he is going to work against and campaign against the Republican, against the Democratic Party and campaign against Obama, and he is motivating people with the microphone and he’s electioneering.

I'm just curious, was there a time in his career when Rush wasn't openly campaigning against Democrat candidates?

His justification was my favorite:
Ed Schultz wrote:

Wow. Thanks for that insight. I guess you're really taking the drive to 30k seriously, eh?

It just seems to make complete sense to me, I didn't figure it needed more enlightening.

Rush shouldn't ever be shut down. I may not like what he has to say, but that doesn't mean his right to free speech should be curtailed.

Better?

Lets argue politics based on whose entertainment based radio-shock jocks say more and stupider things. kk.

The title and content were--I thought--an obvious play at the counterpart.

Not only are liberal radio hosts stupid, they also lack the fiery rhetorical skills to at least be "interesting" or provoking enough to make some money for the station. Witness the various failed incarnations of Air America.

This thread is a counterpoint to the post I made Wednesday, Conservative Talk Show Callers Say The Darndest Things. I am pointing out the ridiculous things on both sides of the dial. On that note, f'uck off.

I wish there was a more viable alternative than NPR. I would probably listen for at least a couple of hours a day.

Maybe if they didn't have to spend so much money protecting pedophile priests they would.

Why is NPR not viable?

A few years ago the only thing I could get on FM in my office was NPR. This was in the 2004-2006 span. I listened every day. I was always really disappointed with Public Radio because it really did a crap job at being objective. I was never really pleased with the extreme left slant of the commentary, the stories, the interviews and the guests. I guess I thought that if anything should be fair or balanced it should be the public radio service that was getting federal funding (yes, I know that it makes up a small part of the budget). I was, and still am, a member. These days it's for Car Talk and Wait Wait on the weekends, but every member card I ever fill out reminds them why I don't give more. I am also a public television member, but that's because of the cooking shows and the cartoons.
