Haven't been around here much this week; somehow it was a busy one. Things are going swimmingly with the end of this pregnancy but I am insanely tired and ready to be done. Only a few weeks to go! Time is standing still!

This weekend is supposed to be cool and rainy so we'll be working indoors (cleaning carpets, buying a new mattress for spare bed and various other odd jobs) plus Jack has his sports class on Saturday. I'd like to get some gym time in and perhaps I'll make the Mr. happy by playing Modern Warfare with him on Saturday night.

Whatchoo got?

I've been off work all week sick with the stomach flu, so if the rest of the week is any indication, I'll just be hoping that I'm not still capable of ******** through the eye of a needle anymore. I have lost 10lbs, so there's that I suppose.

If I can find a new one (I'm rather suspect of the refurbished ones) I'm buying a PS3 this weekend. Much gaming will be done.

I'm sleepy, thanks to picking up some friends from the bar last night around 1:30 and playing nursemaid until about 3:30... and then waking up at 6:15 to drive one home! Ouch... but it's all in good fun :) Tonight hanging out with the girlfriend, no specific plans. Tomorrow my sister comes down to FL for her spring break; totally going to hang out with her as much as possible! Not a relaxing weekend for me, but a fun one, no doubt.

Same thing I do every weekend: work. My boss has supposedly hired a couple of people, let's see if it's true and I have someone to train today.

please let me have someone to train today...

Last night I started a new part-time job, vending beer at the local arena. It only makes sense because not long ago, I was a drunk. The money was decent for my first night, and I got to see something called LMFAO, Ludacris and a little bit of The Black-Eyed Peas. Going forward it should be fun, though, as there actually are some acts I'll see for free that'll be worth it, such as the weekend of April 16th, when I'll see Elton John and AC/DC on consecutive nights.

So, tomorrow I'll be Skyping into our regular monthly D&D session since we both have to work and can't drive up to Rochester, and I'll eventually have to leave and go sell beer at a Harlem Globetrotter's game.

Sunday we are going to sit around and smoke pot all day, I reckon, and then we'll go to Grandma's for dinner and we'll do some laundry. Look guys, you fUcking asked what I'm doing. My life's just not as glamorous as you probably imagine.

I got a semi-firm promise from my husband to help me get my garden tilled out this weekend, but now the whether has turned against me. This is ok, as it's early yet. I'll not be able to plant for a good month.

Another birthday cake to bake for a little party this evening for my sons girlfriend. I don't want to mess this up as she's my key to getting him out of the house.

I'd really like to see Clash of the Titans, but not sure I'll get to it this weekend.

Spent yesterday at the Robotics competition in the city watching my son and his school. Doing the same thing today and tomorrow since the S.O. is working some hellacious overtime to make up for my overspending at the Black Eyed Peas/Ludacris/LMFAO concert and after party partying. I forgot how much I love to spend money, oh and drink and dance!!! Paying for it now though, it's ramen noodles for the next week!

One good word of note, my son and his school have scored high enough to qualify for the World's Robotics competition being held next month in Atlanta.

Sunday, I am sleeping ALL FRICKEN DAY!

Saturday morning I will be leaving for Steamboat to do some skiing. It should be a blast, and while I have a cold right now it seems to be ebbing which is a relief. I did not want to be sick on the trip.

It's going to be ski ski ski, and not much else. I even wrapped up all my stuff at work, so I shouldn't need to pull the laptop out.

I got a refurb through GameStop and haven't had any issues at all. Granted, I have only had it for two weeks, but the first weekend we got it, between my husband and I, it was on for at least eight hours straight.

I think I'll spend this weekend sleeping. And plotting how to spend the extra $800 the IRS threw my way for taxes.

Lots of spring errands - buying of potting soil and seedlings, planting of said seedlings, etc. etc.

Otherwise romping the cats around, maybe going to see a band tomorrow night. Weather should be lovely, so any excuse to go out and amble around is good.

Dump weekend. We're clearing out our crawl space, going through all our stuff, and hauling it to the dump. And if we finish before the weekend ends, we'll start packing up on our non essentials. Raiding, drinking wine, and passing out in pure exhaustion at night is my plan Smiley: smile

Good luck with that bellybean Tare.

Yesterday my sister had her babies. A girl and a boy, 6#15 and 7#15, via c-section. The twins, they run strong in my family.

My wife likes to take birthdays and expand them into a full "birthday month", so she's been doing lots of nice stuff for me lately. We went out for dinner at some nice places in the South End for Restaurant Week (really good fixed-price menu deals), we were able to get last-minute tickets to see Gabriel Iglesias do stand-up last night, and we're going to PAX East this Sunday. Between that, we'll be getting our condo ready for my wife's parents who will be flying out to stay with us next week.

Small world!

DF: I wish your son great success with his robotics team.

What the heck am I doing? Wife and kids still away on vacation. I spent all last weekend refining some work for a publication and they delayed the deadline 10 days on me. Which means I should actually look at the thing again and improve it. I've double checked quite a bit of my work and it is solid but I can't make myself re-read that thing again. So I have a colleague reading it for me and he'll hopefully give me some feedback.

I'll probably clean more around the house, mow the lawn, wii fit, play some WoW (random content rocks), and I'll probably do some real work too.

The Gamestop I usually go to sold the last one to the person right in front of me in line. I was a bit annoyed. I had to venture forth to what may be the crappiest mall on Earth, dodge the clusters of annoying teenagers that think hanging out at the mall is actually fun, and head to the older, smaller, crappier Gamestop in town. They also only had one in stock, which I was able to buy. I picked up God of War III and Metal Gear 4. I see no reason to leave the house this weekend.

It's my weekend to work. Suckage is all I can say! Most likely I'll be on another dorm that's not mine because everyone else will be calling in as usual for the weekend. Other than that I might do some work in the garden.

This evening, I finally figure out how to work out the design of a necklace with some clay beads spaced between chips of jasper. going a lot slower then I hoped, as the Tiger Jasper, seem to have been drilled finer then the red and zebra jasper chips.

tomorrow will work more on necklace and see if I have enough left over to make matching earrings and bracelet.

Sunday I agree to watch the grandkids for a few hours, so we will all hang out in my studio, so they can play with my Lego collection. that or we watch cable TV. Jonwin mention going to a Taco dinner that evening with co-workers and I'm hoping that I'll still feel up to going out after babysitting a 8 and 4 year old.

Working.
Saturday on the steel side so most likely the Lighthouse.
Sunday on the Constellation. End of winter work get together, if Ellen can go and Im not too beat. We will vote on watching a sea movie and consume food and drink.
Monday the tour route starts again. We don't have competition from "Duck (DUKW) tours" as they folded rather than go union,so I may see more kids on the tours.

I picked up Thom's new toddler bed this afternoon and finished setting it up. Now that we can't just put Thom in his crib and wait for him to fall asleep, and he can just climb from his bed onto our bed and get down...yeah, we're not going to be sleeping tonight. Or ever.

We actually skipped the toddler bed altogether on our youngest and went straight to a single mattress, just laying on the floor. She has her own room so we just put a baby gate in front of it and she stays in quite fine. She plays a little before falling asleep, and most happily, she plays in her room quietly when she wakes up, sometimes giving us an extra 30 minutes of sleep.

After finally passing out around 1am (as I was dozing off) Thom woke me up at nine this morning. Hopefully if he doesn't nap (he never does unless he's in the crib or in the car) he'll tire o ut and go to sleep on his own at a decent time.
