Jonwin and I have a Netflix account, but since the country library has started to have so many of the movies and shows we want, on 7 day loan, Jonwin has been borrowing movies for free legally.
I also have 2 daughters who tend to buy a lot of movies on DVD, so can always depend on them having something I may want to watch.

Charter's OnDemand, mostly. And not the PPV stuff, just the normal premiums. I usually don't watch a movie til it's aired on them. I've never purchased PPV movies, and I rarely illegally download new movies, usually I only download older movies which have been available on DVD for quite a few years, just because it's something that I missed a long time ago, and it is no longer on the Premium rotation.

I just use a local video store. I feel better feeding money to a mom and pop type store.
All but the first 2 choices. Blockbuster has started putting up Redbox-like kiosks at other convenience stores (anything that's not Royal Farms/7-11), seems like another case of too little, too late.

I look at on demand from Comcast but not to pay for a movie. I watch only the free ones.

I download the movies I really want to see or I'll pick up any cool movies I happen to come across in a store.
That said, I download maybe 2 movies a year and I don't think I watch more than 1 movie a month, if that.

No, don't! It's people like you who support my 8-10 disc a week habit on my 8 at a time plan. If everyone watched and returned those things as fast as I do, Netflix would probably have to raise prices or something.
My Satellite TV provider offers live & on-demand streaming movies via the PC (Integrated in Windows 7 media centre) and on my iPhone.
I now only watch the main TV when with friends & family - everything else is on my PC (so I don't have to stop gaming/posting)

I use LoveFilm, which I guess is the UK equivalent of NetFlix, and it's pretty awesome. Especially for foreign films since the choice available is so huge.
Also, the lack of late fees is brilliant for stoners who forget they have a DVD to return.

Signed up for Netflix when we ditched cable. I think the time isn't too far off where cable companies find themselves obsolete in terms of programming, and will become our pipe to the internet instead. Only thing that pisses me off is Discovery doesn't have shows on Hulu, miss Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs 
Speaking of Discovery, did anyone catch the first segment of "Life" last Sunday?
I tried watching it but had company. I did see the beginning footage of three cheetahs taking down an ostrich (Cheetahs most always run solo, but these were 3 brothers). It was kinda awesome.

Nearby there is a rental store owned by two uber-geeks who seem to have every single film ever released (though most on video which adds a certain nostalgia I like) and they also know what their customers like and dislike. Many other stores are great if you know what film you want to see, but these guys are able to recommend films, from the latest Hollywood stuff to obscure 70s movies that I have never even heard of which suits me down to the ground. They also don't worry about late fees unless they are the latest DVDs and also give credit and cookies too. This type of service isn't available anywhere else and that's why I don't see them having any trouble competing with the movie-by-mail companies and digital downloads.
