After looking at some of these. Gah. Resist. Resist.

Totally cute (aside from the hideous wallpaper).

It's too bad that 2 liter soda bottles don't come with the black plastic bottom any longer. Turning those into terrariums was a rite of passage as a kid.

I made one out of an old candy dish my mom picked up at a yard sale. I loved that stuff as a kid.

Now, of course, I'd totally over-think it and try to turn it into the BioSphere or some crap.

When I made one of those for high school biology, everything died.

Don't feel too bad. So did everything in BioSphere2.

My biosfear started when my computer died. The plants distracted me from the smell of burnt silicon.

One of my old roommates wanted fish. My current roommate and I said, F that get a turtle.

The fish died.

The turtle probably would have died too. At least fish tastes better.

I like the wallpaper. The "mossarium" on the bottom is by far my favorite.

The website "Boing Boing" also has a great post about making your own "Mossarium":

Oh, yeah, I had a moss jar too. Moss is easy if you have a warm place out of sunlight to keep it.

I had an entire side of my lawn meeting those requirements at my last house. Grass in the front and back and one side. Then a field of moss on the 4th side.
