Beautiful day here today - 70's and sunny - so we are hitting the park and getting plenty of fresh air. On tap for the weekend we have soccer, 2 birthday parties and I'm cooking a fancy steak dinner for Mr. Tare on Saturday night.

Beyond that, I'll continue nesting like crazy. In the past hour I have started cleaning all my windows and hand scrubbed the kitchen floor. Weeeee! Hormone-induced craziness!!

I have a 13 day weekend Smiley: grin

Today, my parents are arriving from their dotage exile in Sconny Botland, so the weekend will involve much repeating of the words "pardon?" and "what?".

Tomorrow - we're visiting the Staffordshire Hoard, and I've booked a table for lunch at a rather groovy french restaurant.

Sunday - my parents are meeting the future ex Mrs Nobby's parents over Sunday lunch (/cringe)

Thence to a week of slovenly sloth.

I have a totem pole that sits at the corner of our little patch of forest. It needs a paint job. I think I'll do that this weekend.

Hubbies still out of town, I have no real plans for the weekend beyond the normal stuff - Friday night Booze and Bomb with my War Guild, housework, add in some raking.

I might shop for a wii. I did wii Yoga every morning while I was at my in-laws last week.

Can we pick dates/times yet for the Tareling to drop?

Taking the new girlfriend down to Ocala to meet my grandmother. Exciting? Kinda. Granny's really racist, but luckily my half-Filipino girlfriend doesn't look very ethnic. We'll likely end up watching movies and chatting a bunch. Next week I get to meet her brother and cousin; we're both slowly working up to the "meet the parents" stage :-P Ah, new relationships!

Other than that no definite plans! Maybe finally beat DA:O?

Tonight: driving to my old house and finishing up some painting, cleaning carpets etc, getting ready for renters. Then to MrDF2B's mom's house to do nasty things on her furniture while she's out of town. Smiley: sly

Tomorrow: Taking broken window to get repaired. Yes, I broke it... finish any more house stuff. Going Roller Skating with a group of friends and introducing the fiance. Might go see my dad since his birthday was a couple days ago and he can officially retire now. Probably take him some wine and remind him he's not that old! Smiley: grin

Sunday: Maybe church, then attempting to drive home after the Blizzard that hits on Sat. DAMN good thing my man can drive in that crap. Hell he can drive in anything. Picking up 4 of 5 of our kids and coming home to hear about their adventures and to plan our Monday while their dad is at work. ROFL work... Smiley: laugh

Monday: hang with the kids Smiley: eek

My weekend will be half nice, half rainy.

Hopefully I'll be able to cut up some more firewood (how do i split a log that's two feet across?!) on the sunny day (Saturday) then I need to re-stack everything. There's half a cord of wood laying out on tarps to dry in the sun since a lot of it is wet and/or moldy. The rain comes in on Sunday.

Lots of cleaning this weekend getting the place ready for my kids to visit. I might get to go see a friend perform in a KISS tribute band on Friday if he can get us on the guest list. Taking the poodles to the groomer on Saturday. I'm playing a show on Saturday night. My son will be here on Sunday and after a 26 hour bus ride I'm going to put him to work. The garbage service is having a bulk pick up starting on Monday and I have a house to clean out.

Cleaning the house from top to bottom and going to try and make a Lego cake today. Hopefully it will come out a lot better than the Transformers cake but I'm not holding my breath. Xavier comes home tonight from his longest time away from home. I miss the bugger.

Xaviers birthday party tomorrow, Xaviers birthday on Sunday (Holy crap he's 8!!!) and interpersed I'll be playing with my new Driod phone, trying to figure out how to get a ringback tone on. I do love the selesctions for ringtones though. I have Brave Sir Robin from Monty Python as my ring and it makes me laugh everytime, with Stewie Griffin yelling at me when someone leaves a voicemail. Smiley: lol

Oh and we got a house!

As my smoking thread indicated, I'll be smoking a pork roast, possibly a brisket, and maybe one other piece of meat. I told my friends they could bring over meat if they wanted, since it's not any more work.

You think Obamacare will affect a country club? They cater to the rich, all they have to do is raise prices and their customers will pay it. God, it's like you don't even understand how money works.
