I'm a fairly large coward that way, if it doesn't involve me or someone I know or if I'm not dragged in it somehow, I will most likely do nothing.
Which is the biggest mistake ofcourse, there's no excuse for that guards behaviour, it's always good to stand up to abuse, although some cases cannot be won.
I hope you won't get dragged in too deep in this case and it won't be costly to you.
