I know people who are cowards and don't have the courage to break up. This guy IS providing a valuable service to those cowards.

A valuable service to those cowards would be teaching them to take charge of their own lives and grow a damn spine, not being unnecessarily cruel to their partners.

1. Using the word "dump" is a cruelty. "Leave" or "Leaving you" is much gentler, while containing the same meaning. Even "breaking up" would be better.

2. Posting the "good ones" online is crossing the line. Sure he claims it's a public service for a variety of illustrative reasons, and I even agree that those illustrative reasons can really work to make other people think about their own lives. But I think that the invasion of privacy factor of posting the calls far outweighs any public education factor they can offer. For the record, I didn't listen to any of them.

Nothing wrong with a bit of cruelty. The world would be a duller place without it, in my view.

Yeah, it's not doing much for their social development, but I imagine the people who contract this service are far from worrying about developing a world consciousness. They just want the kid that keeps texting them to go the fuck away.
