I keep reading this thread title as "Texas", and all I can think is, "Katie is a fat *****".

We spent our pimping out our computers. Well, my POS laptop finally got replaced with a new desktop, and we both got some spiffy graphics cards. Still considering getting BT a new monitor, but that's totally something that can wait. Plus we just switched from DSL to cable and had to drop some dough on a new router, as well. Yeah, all the superfluous tax refund money has been well spent on our gaming rigs.

We should get a whopping $78.

Yeah, we don't have a set plan on how to spend it yet. Oh the possibilities!

I didn't know Barbie's Horse Adventures was such a resource hog.

Normally it's not, but we both four-box so we can have our own dream stable. Plus, as alluded to, the graphics are quite Xtreme. When I crank up all the settings I can see every strand of my mare's cotton-candy mane blowing in the jasmine wind.

Havent finished mine yet. In the past few years I have owed the state and gotten a refund from the fed. This past year I had an extra $2.00 taken out for both.
Any money refunded will go to a small trip fund. Elne's youngest just bought a house in Greenville SC. Then there is always the board gaming con in Lancaster, to which I havent been in 4 years.

Currently I owe the Canadian government $240.43. If I bring in a few more rent receipts, that will be smaller.

Even if I still owe in the end, I don't really have any issue with it. I can afford it, and considering that all my paychecks over the course of last year were bigger because the boss was taking off only the bare minimum in taxes, I'm not bothered by it. I might actually ask payroll to increase the amount of tax taken off my checks.

edit: hooray for having a somewhat less confusing system than the USA.

You'd think so, but no. We have one of the most complex tax systems in the world.

They're all pretty damn simple when you have nothing to declare.

Good point, it's not like I had much to claim. Just work, rent, and interest on an inheritance I had in a savings account until last year.

True, but $150-200/payday gets spent wastefully. A one time cheque of $3600-4000 gets used well spent wastefully.

Fixed that for you.
