Trash: talked

So far, this game is not too shabby.

Through 2 - Canada is following instructions.

Sucking it hard!

I imagine Babcock is in the locker room right now wondering how he'll get out of the arena tonight.

It's been a fun game to watch despite our apparent inability to score, and our ability to let goals in.

The USA needs 10 times the people to compete with Canada in the Olympics.

Just sayin'

Talk about a choke fest.

Thanks Brodeur for flopping around for at least two goals.

a) Waaaaaaahhhhhhh

b) 18 of our players came from states with 45m people. 1 came from California, with more people than Canada all by itself, and 4 came from New York and Pennsylvania. More than half of this country wouldn't know what a hockey stick was if you hit them over the head with one. Oddly enough, not having our entire population so jealous of Canada that we live within an hour's drive of the border results in other possible pursuits. :)

Canada has about 31 million people. The US has about 300 million. Unless the US gets 10 times the medal count, they really aren't on par with Canada if you count medal per capita as a reflection of the country's performance in the Olympics. Now, I live in Pennsylvania so I have no vested interest in Canada winning. I'm just sayin' that Canada is superior.

I'm not butthurt. I just think that the USA is a leader in medal count partly because of the population size.

Doesn't hurt, but it doesn't change the fact that we blew it tonight.

Eh, it's not a big deal to beat Canada. It's like beating California or Luxembourg.

As an American, was I supposed to find Canada's losses relevant?

As someone with no frame of reference you probably should have been expected to be somewhat less of a waste of organic compounds, but then again, I've seen posts in all 3 of your 10,000s and don't really expect much more than general douchery and asininity.

EDIT: I love touching a nerve. The same Francophone sympathizer must pretend to be a hockey fan, too.

Canada can't even win at the only thing they're good at. Oh well, maybe they can pick up some curling medals.

Great game. I nearly had a heart attack in the last few minutes before USA put one into the empty net.

Ryan Miller is the best playing on Team USA. By far. Holy Christ.

One thing will never change in hockey: a team can ride a hot goalie all the way to the promised land as long as that goalie stays hot.

Russia still looks tough. I'd pay good money to watch Ovie play any day of the week.

I'm pretty impressed that the US has gotten so many medals this time. Last time, they only got 25 medals total. You guys are doing really well! Smiley: grin
