I have to wonder who considers this story to be so worth watching.

Tiger Woods press conference. CNN Headline News keeps replaying it. I'm ambivalent, frankly. I never really looked up to the guy and while I understand he did an unspeakably fucked up thing (repeatedly), I agree that his wife and kids should be left out of it.

I guess if Elin decides to forgive him, that's her bag, baby. Joph and I have a standing agreement that if the other cheats, the remaining party has the right to tell them to fuck off and walk away so I can't say I understand her, but I suppose if he convinced her he can change, more power to them if they can make it work.

One of the commenters on the SFGate version of this story said it'd be awesome if he'd interrupted his speech to text something and then continued with a straight face.

It would be more re-watchable if his wife came out of nowhere and whacked him upside the head with a golf club.

His speech should have gone something like this:

"To all of you assembled here today...**** off. I'm outta here."

Now I need to go back over the last decade and find out if Tiger was ever partnered in a tourney with John Daly, because that's probably where he picked up his philandering ways.

I don't get the "please believe in me again" part. He plays golf. He's not famous for his marriage, he's famous for his golf score.
