Douche. It just flows. There's a music there. It combines well with seemingly harmless nouns, ie douchesac, douchnozzle. It applies to a wide range of fuckery without insulting any particular race or creed.
Yessir, chances are if I hate you, you're getting called a douche and I will luxuriate in the joy of insulting you.

Runner up: asshat.

I've found out it doesn't translate well as an insult though. Apparently it has different meanings in some foreign languages.

I agree with your feelings about the word "Douche." Heh, it just flows.

Sometimes I feel bad about the fact that I like to call people "A wicked retahd" but I'm a bad person so it's ok. I also call people "whores" and things are "gay."

"So is your face" has always served me well, especially when it doesn't make any sense given the comment I'm responding to.

For a while I used the word 'douchebaggery'.

i.e. You're a douche and I'm tired of your douchebaggery.

I like dumbass myself as well.

And if I'm ever called Douche or any form of, it's not likely to be taken as an insult as I use it in online names on other forums all the time. Feel free to use asshat.

If I'm actually angry with someone, I prefer shit. Usually in the form of "You're a little shit." I also tend to use "breeder" in an insulting manner, generally, "Stop being such a fucking breeder."

Depends on whether I want to express genuine displeasure or just let someone know they fUCked up. Also it depends on how much shock effect I think is needed to get the point across.

In person, I typically prefer sarcasm to insults unless I'm really pissed off. I did call a guy a gaping axe wound once. That was pretty effective but I can't see it ever being a go-to insult.

Twatwaffle is still a good one.

I'm all about the word cunt. I hear it, it makes me smile, has no hold over me, yet I know that the vast majority of people who do hear the word gasp in outright indignation and jump straight to utter outrage. It elicits a reaction 100% of the time, which is what I'm going for if I'm that pissed off to actually start hauling out the ******** Yup, cunt is a beautiful word.

Me too, but I'm forbidden to use it around (or in reference to) Thom, even when he does dumbassed things, like run around the house with his eyes closed until he hits a wall and falls over.

Douchenozzle is a nice standby; so is fuckstick. Or dipshit which hearkens back to my childhood.

I don't have a go to so much as a grab bag of handy tricks that I like to whip out from time to time.

Unmitigated waste of atmosphere was once a top player, but there was a special case that it applied to, and he f'ucked up on a daily basis, if not more frequently.

One of my recently departed employees I called professor constantly. It was always said in a mocking tone and he knew I meant it as an insult, because I told him.

As I walk through the local mass retailer, encountering people who can't be assed to get the f'uck to one side of an aisle while filling their shopping cart I'm partial to inconsiderate prick. It gets me looks occasionally, and one guy tried to make something of it once.

I'd say the biggest fall back in rotation at the moment is Canadian. French Canadian if the person is really annoying.

I seem to unconsciously gravitate to that old clichéd classic, "Mother-fucker"

My insult of last resort: the ultimate one when no other adequately describes how unwholesome and deprave the actions of another are is:

game show host.

I am thankful my use of it is rare.
