Lions!
Anyone know if this is photoshopped? I looked in Snopes but couldn't find anything.

I'm truely more worried about the fact that someone on that site apperently made a purple hello kitty chainsaw that has obviously seen heavy use, likely involving red iron oxide containing fluids and meat...

Seriously. There should be a law that says "if you have a cute chain saw, you are likely a chain saw massicerist, go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not sever 200 limbs."

Edit: Looking at the picture, something small has been removed from just above his shouldar to the right in the first picture, The second, the lions were definitly in that picture in that position, but I can't tell if the picture has just been compressed, or if the guy was altered, There is a large square jpeg artifact pattern to the left of his head that could be indicative of alteration.

The third one, I think it's been resized. there is a ripple right about where the hand is on the left lion's back extending up into the tree line, but the guy in the middile and the right lion look like they were natural to the picture.

The bottom one is either an accurate picture, or the best photoshop I have ever seen.

Of course he could have made these up using real film prints, altered them, then taken another photograph, had it printed and then scanned the photo, which would be very difficult to check for without looking at the normally non visable light spectrum and other layers via spectrographical analasys that is wayyyy above my head.

I knew someone with a artfully decorated cleaver once. While they did end up going to jail for dismembering someone, it doesn't mean everyone with cute weaponry is a sociopath.

This is so remarkable that I don't quite know what to make of it. Pictures don't lie, so I have to believe he does interact with them ... but how did he accomplish it? No idea. (Perhaps "Perfect Love"?)

This Ranger is assigned to prevent poaching around the wildlife refuge area of Lanseria, South Africa. The way these animals interact with him is absolutely stunning! The lions seem to know he’s there to protect them. His charm works with hyenas and cougars too. Hyenas are usually vicious. Check out the pictures taken in the river – amazing because lions hate water.

Here's a Youtube video of the guy swimming with the lioness. In the video, they're clear that he "bribes" the lioness into the water with food and she gets out pretty much immediately after. This video makes it painfully obvious that these are "trained" animals which he spends considerable time with in controlled settings. The lioness in the water was one that he had hand raised from a cub.

It seems to be your classic case of something being pretty cool (hanging out with trained lions and hyenas is still cool) but not OMGAWESOME enough to be e-mail glurge. So they have to punch it up and make it sound as though this guy just wanders out onto the veldt and random lions start frolicking in the water with him out of pure love because they just know he's out there to save them from poachers.

Thanks for putting a name on him. He has a Facebook fan page!
Well, he calls himself an animal behaviorist and trainer, which sounds more accurate. An actual "lion whisperer" could just walk up to any lion, couldn't he? This guy sounds more like Steve Irwin for the lion set.

So should we expect him to get speared by a gazelle?

What Joph said. It basically points the same thing out in that linked thread on snopes.
