Voices in Movies and on TV. Some are mesmerising.
Watching The Shawshank Redemption for the gazillionth time, it occurs to me that Morgan Freeman's voice-overs add so much. Without them, it would still be a good movie, but with the soothing, matter-of-fact tone of voice, this is possibly one of the key factors (subconsciously perhaps) why it's so often voted best movie evarr.
Others are predictable - James Earl Jones as Darth Wossname, Robert Shaw as the Shark catcher in Jaws.
Purely from a voice perspective, which actors stand out to you?

I've always found David Duchovny to have a hypnotizing voice...rather velvety and crumbly.

Not an actor really, but John Facenda, who did the voice-overs for NFL films in the days of my youth, had such a powerful and distinctive voice that he was known as The Voice of God.
I'm pretty sure I thought the narrator of the Dukes of Hazzard was god when I was a youngin'
I've been re-watching Babylon 5 recently and always find myself awed by how amazing Andreas Katsulas' (RIP) voice was. G'Kar could quite possibly have been a very lame character with a less charismatic actor behind the makeup.
Also, Michael York. I remember once, many years ago, the Mark and Brian radio program had Michael York on the show, and to prove that he could read absolutely ANYTHING and make it sound cultured and refined, they had him do a recitation of the lyrics of "Baby Got Back." Best part was the very end when he says, "My apologies to Sir Mix-A-Lot."
Between the two of them, the B5 episode "A Late Delivery From Avalon" was a real treat on the ears.
