Given what Samira has said, linking it specifically to over prescription as indeed did its OP, you are either adding nothing but acting like you are or claiming that people who need meds do not suffer the side effects. Either is retarded.

When I interpret it's only for Spanish-speaking patients but as a rule, they'll reject almost any type of medication outside an antibiotic or diabetes meds, and even then we have a hard time getting them to take those. Latinos seem to think they can cure everything with a tea.

I have nothing against medication. The brain is an organ, and it's possible that people with mental illness could owe that illness (and the resulting flaw in judgment) to chemical imbalances which once corrected, could help lead to other nonmedical therapies which wouldn't have had a chance in hell of working otherwise. I don't feel any stigma, unless it's the natural stigma of the overachiever feeling like somehow my broken brain should be able to pull itself up by its (damaged) bootstraps.

I was agreeing with her in an overly obvious fashion (restating what she's said, which happens to be something I already said previously in the thread), thus the Smiley: rolleyes. This is why I said you fail at reading comprehension. To further clarify, those who do need the meds usually do not suffer as many side effects as those who don't; for obvious reasons.
