So after they riot and tear down the city of New Orleans will we have to pay (again) to re-build it?

Prize to the lib that can find a way to blame the riot on George W.

Thanks for starting a Superbowl topic, now I don't have to bother. I liked the Denny's ads and the Google ad, but overall I was underwhelmed.

Why would they let Jay go on an ad for his competitor? NBC really must not give a ****, anymore.

Denny's definitely won best commercial.

And Sean Payton proved that he has the biggest balls of any head coach in the NFL. The onside kick coming out of half-time was epic.

I was amazed to see Leno in an add for a CBS show too especially since him and Letterman are not exactly best of friends.

Yeah, he didn't emerge well at all from the mess and I suppose this is a good PR move in his mind, but at the end of the day the Tonight Show and the Late Show compete, and it's just emblematic of what a thoughtless prick he is.

Interesting (not surprising though)how your first thought was people of color when I said riot.

Typical racist lib

I neither said nor implied nor actually even thought any such thing. I just wanted to know to whom your blanket generalization was referring.

Interesting that your knee-jerk reaction was to assume I was asking about color.

Typical I'm-not-a-racist-REALLY! Republican.

I just heard one reporter describing the celebration as "sweet and thoughtful". Not exactly your typical riotous behavior.

Like most of ThiefX's posts, it had little to do with the nominal topic and was just a platform for the same set of arguments. One can't really hold a discussion with that, one just throws out the expected, canned retort.

More like "who are these 'they' that you're saying are going to riot just because of a Super Bowl win, because NEW ORLEANS ONLY COMES CLOSE TO A RIOT AT MARDI GRAS YOU DUMB FUCK".

Seriously. Implying that every major city would have rioting because their local pro team won the Super Bowl/World Series/etc.?

Nope. It's just LA, NY, Detroit, and Chicago that do (mostly).

Brees, in an interview right after the game, gave the victory over entirely to the city - which is pretty cool.

As far as football games go, it was a pretty fun one to watch.

I thought the Denny's ads were mostly annoying. I liked the "milkoholic" baby best.

Well, the White Sox did end their 88 year drought winning the 2005 World Series (bookending the Red Sox ending their 86 year drought in 2004).

No see the Lib's can go out and warm the ocean, blame global warming on it, and after using the weather controlling satellite of DOOM!, turn it again on New Orleans. Thus drowning the City once again. Then they can turn around and say because Bush burped towards the city eating baby back ribs (From Real Babies!),, he was the cause of the devastation.

After this FEMA can come in with more cancer causeing wonderfully healthy trailers, and house the people who need it while milking the government for millions housing people who don't exist.

The Repubics can march in with marching band blazing (paid for with taxpayers money with the cost deferred to our great x10 grandchildren) and declare the mission is accomplished, even though there is mud 10 feet tall still in the middle of the street, after landing an F-22 Raptor in the middle of the city.

/end sarcasm

Hmm, the Super Bowl was on yesterday. That explains why all the channels I watch had nothing but repeats and crappy movies on.

We only really rioted after the first Patriots Superbowl. When the Sox won the Series the first time, the fact that the cops put a non lethal bean bag through a college girls eye, killing her, kind of put a damper on things. People tried to go to Fenway, but the cops pushed everyone out.

Now, we've won so many championships over the last decade (3 Superbowls, 2 World Series', & a NBA World Championship) that it's no longer cool to flip over cars & light things on fire.
