The CG is all done on Macs, so why not?

Personally? I would like to see any future spiderman film scrapped and a brand new comic hero on our screens. Diversity is a good thing!

I wonder if Daniel Radcliffe could play a convincing nemesis for spiderman? We Brits do make excellent cinematic evildoers Smiley: nod

How bout Jessie Eisenberg, the guy that played Columbus in Zombieland?
Yeah, no. Spiderman is a geek the way Clarke Kent is a geek, not the way Michael Cera is.

Orion,
Appleseed (four parter)
Ghost In the Shell
Dominion - "Tank Police"

He's kind of an omnivore's delight. He likes mythology and philosophy, but he likes to get there via lots of action, futuristic military hardware, prurient sexy robots and genetically modified creatures, wry, ironic humour, and inserts of slapstick humour.

PS, ignore any films or TV shows made out of his mangas. The originals are much better.

I too think JG-L would do a good job.

When Toby M hurt his back on the first Spiderman, they had Jake Gyllenhaal in the wings as a backup for Spidey 2. But Jake is, if anything, older (looking) than Toby and wouldn't fit into the highschool setting.

The next person who suggests Shia LaQueef for anything gets shot in the face.

Joph, if you want to see some early Toby try Deconstructing Harry (bit part as a shy, awkward geek with a foot fetish) or Wonder Boys (shy, awkward geek with a Michael Douglas fetish).

I know this may be strange, but what about Daniel Radcliffe?
Only if he can pull a House and develop a Queens accent.

I can't really think of anyone that'd make a decent Spidy, honestly. Except for the third movie, Tobey did a pretty damn good job, for what its worth. I wish they gave him more one liners, but you can't have everything. I want Bruce Campbell to be Mysterio, though. They could easily use his bit parts in all the other movies as his set up. It'd work pretty well.

Tobey was great in Wonder Boys.

He's a shitty actor, ugly as sin, and somehow keeps getting cast?

Bruce Wayne's my Heathcliff. My personal favorite Batman graphic novels are Red Rain & Arkham Asylum, because they show how insane he really is. Look into the abyss and all that.

Batman: Hush was amazing.

Nexa, I'd also recommend Y: The Last Man and Fables, based on your previous reading. Oh and House of Mystery (the new series, not that **** from the 70's)

As for Spidey, man, I was just fine with Tobey. I thought he nailed it all.

@Gaxe, Cambell as Mysterio makes perfect sense, I've never thought about that before now. Good call.

I have some poster art from him. I believe one of them has written on it "First Milking Hard".

How was 500 Days? I heard an interview with the director and thought it sounded promising.

Not a fan of 3rd Rock form the Sun, my only exposure to JG-L is 10 Things I Hate About You which I thought he was very good in.

Logan Lerman (The kid from that Percy Harvin movie coming out soon) is in talks for it, but I think JGL would do a much better job.

However, Lerman is 18, so he's closer in age.

I liked it. There were parts that were a little annoying but the actors themselves, Zooey and Gordon-Leavitt, were so appealing. Overall, it was one of my favorite movies that I rented in the last few months.

Funny, the other day after posting in this thread, I dreamt that I was friends with JG-L and we were discussing him getting this part as Spiderman.
