As a (younger) kid, I thought I would die before 25. If I survive this year, that idea is out.

I'm shooting for 100. Medical advances should make it possible... if I can afford them!

Good luck with that, srsly.

I picked 76-80. Some of my family members have exceeded that but generally in very frail health, which is a drag.

When I was a kid I told people I wouldn't live past 23. I turn 24 on the 21st.

I picked 76-80 range. That seems like a good age. I just want to be all wrinkly and like "mad" looking cuz my skin sags. Old people who I meet that look this way, seem like pretty cool people.

I thought you were a closeted homosexual that used the military gig to throw us all off your trail. Smiley: tinfoilhat

I'm not sure what age I would hope to live to; up to but not beyond the age at which my body provides me nothing but pain and agony. Huh, how is that for uplifting? hah

I said 76-80. I had my kids later so I hope to live long enough to see/enjoy some grandkiddies.

Hopefully for you, sooner than that.

I picked 100 easily. I figure I'll turn 100 on 2071. By then, I'll be mostly cyborg and will be sent back in the past to kill John Connor.

Hard to say. Ninety is about the average for men in my family, but I would be surprised if medical tech does not advance significantly by that point.

My father passed away before he reached 70 and at that point mentally I re-adjusted to see my future in light of the fact I may well not last past that age. I was 32 and 34 when my children were born so if they don't have children until they are 30 I might have very little time with my grandchildren. Since I'm an optimist, I'd checked the next box up, 71-75. I expect never to retire in any case, although I would enjoy some of the best retirement benefits on Earth, since I love what I do and people in my line of work often can work until the end (and often choose to). My father and both my grandfathers lamented retiring too early, and I know their reasons.

I've had several close rellies live into their mid 90's and a great grandad who made it to 104.

It seems I have good genes.

Looking at my grandparents (in the 90s) and how they've degenerated, I sure as hell don't hope to live that long. My mom jokes with me and says "When I get to acting like them, just kill me already." (Not funny, mom.)

I'm going to say 75, part for sh*ts and giggles, part because it's the max level in FFXI, and part because it seems like a reasonable number. Plus, when I think back to my grandparents being that age, they were still relatively sharp.
