Neil Diamond is great to sing along to. He doesn't have an amazing range, so you can usually keep up pretty well.

I don't remember the name (although I'm sure someone here will) but a good girl song is the one about the girl abused by the husband and her and the friend kill him. In the end, the police question them but nothing is pursued because everyone knows about the guy. Ring a bell?

Janie's got a gun, Aerosmith?

My staple is "You Gotta Be" by Des'Ree. Also, almost anything by Whitney Houston, once I've had a good warm up and I can get my second octave going without cracking.

No one can truly do her catalog justice anymore, including Whitney herself.

That was about a girl killing her dad.

I think maybe this is the Dixie Chicks song "Goodbye Earl?"

I heart Karaoke. Some good ones that haven't been mentioned here:

Sinatra: NY, NY
Beatles: Help
Bonjovi: Living on a Prayer
M&Ps: California Dreaming (good with a mate(s) for backing vocals)
Patsy Cline: Crazy
Aerosmith: Crying, Crazy, Amazing...
Smashing Pumkins: Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Cranberries: Zombie

We went to karaoke with my work a few months ago, and I sang "Like a Virgin", it was pretty awesome.

And gay.

Does it really matter, being French? Thanks for the Smashing Pumpkins reference, though. Forgot I loved them in college. The world is a vampire, indeed.

It proved that two negatives don't always make a positive.
