This situation sort of happened at a party, although not to the extent of actual intercourse, but to the point where the male involved earned the nickname "Rapist" for the rest of his college career.
The girl was passed out drunk, on the floor, obviously dead to the world. The Rapist (whose previous nickname was "Lower Case" (for 'fail' - there was also a Capital F for Fail who disassociated himself with Lower Case after the rape incident)) Rapist proceeded to dry hump her unconscious body, make out with it, and have his buddy take pictures of him doing it. He was stopped and kicked out of the party before he succeeded in dragging her into a bedroom closet. He was also never invited back to another party again.
Since nearly all of the remaining males at the party were completely horrified and grossed out, except for Rapist and his partner in crime, I'd say a lower number of guys would actually go that far when confronted with the opportunity.
Interestingly enough, Rapist "found Jesus" shortly after leaving college, got married, and has kids. God help the world . . .

I was in 35-50%, I was debating between 1/3 and 1/2, and then realized I have very little faith in humans.
I voted for the 1-5% range. I would like to think that most men are decent human beings.

I dont see why this would be a hard thing to admit to? I've had these sexual fantasies before, and they can be a huge turn on. The difference between fantasy and reality though, is that while you may be fantasizing about having a lack of control of the situation, its a false fantasy. The definition of fantasy, there is always some sort of control, even if it is invisible. It's an oxymoron if you please. So those who do fantasize in this category also realize full on that there is a major, major difference between the reality and fantasy.
Rape fantasies don't really have anything to do with rape itself, but the feeling of having control taken away from you, or to be dominated. I've noticed that in great relationships you tend to have a domimant and submissive partner. But sometimes in order to keep balance those roles change behind closed doors. I freely admit I have the more dominant personality in my partnership in every day stuff, but I dont necessarily wish to be the dominant one all the time. I like to be dominated over (hence the fantasies kick in once in awhile) so that I know that our relationship is balanced. In fact I hate being dominant in bed because I am really tired of having to have the dominant personality in every day life. Sometimes I need to know that my partner can control me and in doing so, helps in a physical way to remind me that he can also protect and care for me.

Mostly I was just curious about how the percentages among genders compared. If there is a significant gap in percentage of rape fantasies among the genders, then perhaps something in our culture is causing that gap.
Are we considering this as on the planet as a whole, or in the US? There are unfortunatly several cultures in the world where this is more commonplace than anyone would care to see, so at the world level that would skew my answer.

I can see this because unfortunately a lot of people still have extreme shame on sexuality in general, let alone acknowledging why their minds play on certain situations via sexual fantasy. It's a shame though, because by refusing to acknowledge the reasoning behind the fantasies and not speaking out, the more power they give to the false belief that sex is something to be ashamed of.
