It's uncomfortable for someone, that's the point. If it's uncomfortable for the straight guy, doesn't he have a right to feel that way? On the other hand, a person shouldn't have to hide themselves. So a compromise was made and that was DADT.
Massive problems right there.
1) Discomfort alone is not a good enough reason to discriminate. It's why we don't have black water fountains and special bus seats any more.
2) "On the other hand, a person shouldn't have to hide themselves. So a compromise was made and that was DADT." Do you think about what you're saying at all? They are hiding themselves, that is the entire point of DADT. "You can be gay, but you HAVE to hide it."

Can anyone seriously tell me they aren't grossed out by hearing about someone's sexual life.
I'm not, probably because I'm an adult or something.

I have gay friends both male and female. I'm not comfortable talking about the sexual preferences that they have so we talk about other things. I return the favor by not talking about my sexual partners. It makes both sides happy. If someone can explain my point better, please do so.
It doesn't make both sides happy, that is why the homosexuals are upset and want this to be repealed. Stop trying to change reality to fit your narrative, believe me we are going to notice.
This also isn't an equally applied rule. If for some reason you happen to let loose your tongue that you enjoy the company of women, and you are in the military, then you aren't going to lose your job. They are.
