Take me now. I have the soundtrack of 2001:A Space Odyssey we can make bruising zero-g love to.

Let's be fair, that's something all Star Trek series/movies have messed up.

Ponyo was great, but I love everything he does. It wasn't my favorite Miyazaki or anything, but it definitely met my expectations.

I adore you for making me not have to be the one to mention this one.

Hey, did you see Astroboy by any chance? I didn't get around to it and it appears that noone I know did either...I'm just wondering if it's any good. I bet Hannah would like it.

2009's Star Trek was good Smiley: mad

Ponyo was satisfying graphically, but I thought it's ending was truncated and weak. Which was a shame after Ponyo's father and mother were so magical.

I didn't. I couldn't convince anyone else to spend money to go see it, so I didn't bother. I do have it saved to my Netflix list for when it comes out, though.

That seems to be the consensus...it totally bombed at the box office. Great cast and everything, I guess maybe the timing was less than ideal? It certainly wasn't marketed well...I kept forgetting about it.

Inglorious Basterds was awesome. In fact, the very first scene of Inglorious Basterds was probably my favourite bit of film-making of the year.

Other mentions: A Prophet, The Hangover, Mesrine, In The Loop, A Serious Man.
