What would you add to this list?

Quote:
1. Nine. The lyrics add an extra element of pain.
2. The Limits of Control. Non-action as existential manifesto.
3. Police, Adjective. Non-action as political manifesto.*
4. The Lovely Bones. Getting murdered young as New Age manifesto.
5. It’s Complicated. Affluence ****.
6. Transformers 2. “Make it stop!”
7. Antichrist. Marginally more fun when the genital mutilations begin.
8. New York, I Love You. You’ll want to move.
9. Big Fan. The King of Comedy with bigger losers.
10. Nine. Too awful to name just once.

Personally, I'd have Nine be one through Nine, with some extra wrath for goddamned Hollywood who tinkered with one of my all time favorite movies, 8 1/2, to make this craptastic, nonsensical ********* ******** with Kate Hudson.

Why does everyone hate Transformers so much? People ******* and whined with the first one that there was too much "people" and not enough robots and violence. How does the studio react? They add more robots and far more violence and everyone ******* about it. What's wrong people? Not happy when you're appeased?

Sherlock Holmes should be on that list.

If you went into that movie expecting anything more than giant robots fighting and blowing things up then you should be examined for a brain injury.

I think Transformers is stupid, period. Ha, ha, Iamadam is defending his fanboy crush for Optimus Prime.

There's something wrong when a lead actress inspires more from other women than the leading actor. Mr Thebeef should be removed from making any further movies.

I thought she was hot until I found out that she knows nothing about Transformers and is nothing more than a hollow-shell of a body.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still hit it, but only to say that I did.

Transformers 2 got worse reviews: http://www.metacritic.com/film/titles/transformers2?q=transformers than Sherlock Holmes: http://www.metacritic.com/film/titles/sherlockholmes?q=sherlock%20holmes. So eh.

The Hurt Locker got the best overall reviews: http://www.metacritic.com/video/titles/hurtlocker

The other Nine movie - 9, I thought was kind of dumb. I just had the feeling that this animator first created this cute little guy and then had to devise a movie plot around it to justify it's existence.

I heard that District Nine was a pretty good movie though.

I keep reading "Nine" as "9" and wondering what the author and Anna has against burlap robots.

It was a short film first, which went viral on the web, and thus the "demand" for a feature length film was born. Coming soon from the same makers: "Pants on the Ground".

District 9 was pretty good. Blah-blah-symbolism-message-etc but I was entertained and found some of the symbolism stuff interesting.

On the subject of Megan Fox and bad movies: Jennifer's Body was a pretty lame *** movie.

Yeah, I really liked it. That's another one that's supposed to be a trilogy and I'm kind of looking forward to the rest of it.

Miss March, Dance Flick, and GI Joe were our top three worst movies of the year. We also had G-Force, All About Steve, Transformers 2, 2012, and Sorority Row were nominated as well. We've got a worst movie of the year festival on New Years Eve every year. Good opportunity to get so blindingly drunk that even Dance Flick seems funny.

It wasn't the worst movie I'd ever seen and being a huge RDJ fan, I had very high expectations. Look for another dissenting view before writing it off as I may have just set the bar too high for it.

Also, I thought District 9 was OK, at best.

The reason I roll my eyes at that criticism is because it is such an incredibly popular plot device. Big giant power that will have it's way no matter what, vs the scrappy but noble underdog. It's pretty much a staple of our culture.
