If you're going to be spending your time here again you should get into them a bit. Barring silly game specific forums like the FFXI server forums, the Asylum is one of the slowest forums on the site. If it weren't folk like Varus (sadly, he does serve a purpose), this place would dead.

Not that I'm not thrilled about your advice and all, but go suck a cock. I've been around this block before.

I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that they had to block that phrase. There is definitely cause to abuse it.

Sounds like my internet obsession with the Marvel Comics universe. And I don't even read Marvel Comics.

It was a very pretty movie, but wow... I imagine that these people are the same type of people who think it's feasible that one day, they really will end up married to Brad Pitt or Eva Longoria.

They're insane if they're not frantically producing Avatar-themed sex dolls even as we speak.

I thought it was just the world these people were pining for... That's just.. ugh.

I can see it now... The next Home Makeover Edition (or whatever it's called) with Ty Pennington: We're creating an Avatar-esque home for this poor family with thirteen adopted kids, all with severe disabilities all the way from being blind to requiring an iron lung! Tune in on Sunday!

Seems to me that people who are depressed by that film would be depressed at the drop of a hat. The only time I have ever come away a little depressed from a film was after watching Schindlers list.

I just read "We Need To Talk About Kevin," and I'll admit to being a little depressed afterward. But not in a "OMG this book is soooo god, I wish I lived in that world, I have to find more pictures of it NOW!" way.

It also makes me wonder how many people who are complaining about post-Pandora depression have actually touched a real tree.

Maybe I'm spoiled, but if I want some good old fashioned into-the-woods time, I drive a few miles down the road and go to the state botanical gardens and take a nice long hike along the wilderness paths. It's all wintery and boring now, but in the summer, it's glorious. The sights, the sounds, the smells.

Sure, it's not a tropical rain forest, but it's beautiful in its own way.

Whoa! Stand back folks!

Last time I touched a real live tree was about...three hours ago, when I lopped the top off of an oak sapling so I could finish sawing up the deadfall suspended five feet off the ground.

I;m sure a few suffer from clinical depression and if it wasn't blue cat-people it'd be something else, but some of these people just lose at life.

Wow, you have to go to a botanical garden to find some woods time? There are no free parks in your area? Or is this a free botanical garden owned by the parks system?

Free botanical garden owned by the university.

There are trees behind my apartment. There's an actual forest, Whitehall National Forest, about 4 miles away. But the botanical gardens have nice hiking trails in addition to the formal gardens, with the added bonus that the trees are all neatly labeled if I really get curious.
