You know what I wonder. How many people who have such strong and polarised views on this board, would say their posted opinions directly to another person IRL?

Would Varus shirk and become a silent ball with his hatred stewing and festering inside?
Would Anna be plain and silent and grey with the only rainbow showing on her mobile phones desktop?

One wonders Smiley: smile

I'll tell you right now, I'm not colorful and fluffy at all in person.

I'm a little more reticent face to face, at least with relative strangers. It is certainly not unknown for me to say to a friend or family member, "That is the stupidest fUCking thing I've ever heard you say, and that's goin' some."

I don't usually speak up about anything, but when I do, I'm pretty honest with my beliefs.

Okay, I'm sorry I made it sound trivial with that example. I'll refrain from stupid examples to try and get my point across.

The capacity may be there but the desire would need to follow. For me, it would be a choice and not something I suddenly realized I have been or should have been all along.

I've said my points on here directly to other people. I can generally be polite though at the end of my last job, when I was tired of the ********* one of my coworkers said I'd get this look--like an eyebrow arch and then I'd say something that could be withering. However, I was complemented in my abilities to disagree with people in an articulate way and smile when I told people they are full of ****.

Just because you don't act on it doesn't make it a choice.

If the capacity is there, that means it is something you enjoy. That enjoyment is independent on whether or not you act upon it.

Well, an argument can be made that everyone has the capacity. Ultimately, it's the action that defines it. The enjoyment is what will help others choose to make it part of their lifestyle.

no, that's a terrible argument that can't be made at all.

Are you honestly saying that everyone everywhere has the capability of legitimately enjoying a particular sexuality?

I was up at 6am this morning splitting wood in this cold as* weather for exercise. I seriously doubt i'd have a problem speaking my mind with any of you in any situation. And for the record just because someone says something you don't agree with doesn't mean they are filled with "hatred".

I split wood in colder-*** weather and it doesn't make me a raging asshole. As those who have met me know, I may make one or two comments but for the most part I'm essentially not there.

Freud was a quack when it came to his theories of sexuality.

No, I meant capacity in the sense of capability or even curiosity. Like being curious, having the capacity doesn't mean you will enjoy it. I really won't know until I "accidentally" slip onto that wee-wee.

I'll let you know how that goes.

Excuse me for asking, but I'm confused. What has splitting wood have to do with your ability to discuss a topic with an open mind?

I've suggested this before. It's really the logical solution: find a country whose values fit your own, and move.

So when are you moving? Obviously the values of the majority of the US don't think homosexuality is a behaviour that should be publicly condoned. It's you liberals that are trying to force the majority to ignore their value system.

Like I'd let you dictate where I live. Pfft.

I almost wonder if Varus and Tailmon should get it on. They are both Republicans, hate liberals and hold on to their pet theories and hate despite evidence to the contrary.
