Sarah Palin has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel, the New York Times reports.

"The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the network's programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal... Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time."

Palin quit her boring governor job to cash in on her new found popularity? Books, TV deals, maybe a radio spot one of these days... why, no one guessed that this would happen!

Bahahaha!

HAHAHAHA!

Oh man, and let the FOX news jokes continue. This is a really good move from FOX, actually. I'm not surprised, but hey, I don't mind either. She's entertaining, a mouthpiece, and a rabid conservative; it makes her a perfect fit, and I'm fine with FOX news being as conservative as possible and not afraid to show it.

Facebook wasn't a grand enough pedestal for her to shout from apparently. This will be hilarious.

Honestly, I actually can't. She's always good for a few laughs and seeing as she won't have a regular spot, there's a chance it's with an infrequency where I won't bore with her.

I'm not surprised at all. Fox has a long history of hiring hot airheads to host their shows.

To be fair: This is what she has her degree in. She actually has some training and experience in broadcasting.

To be realistic: $20 says she quits halfway through the contract.

She's going to get all hurt by daily show criticisms.

I'm sure this will end up being glorified voiceover work, or softball interviews á la Couric.

Do you suppose Fox News has a policy prohibiting employees from using Facebook?

They also have a long history of hiring former politicians, from both sides of the aisle. I suppose it's better than hiring comedians or sports casters...
