Tonight I will be partaking in family gaming, pitting the males versus the females in a competition to see who has to cook the first breakfast of 2010. We'll end our night with a little celebration while watching the ball drop on television.

What are your New Year's eve plans?

As long as it doesn't snow anymore (3 inches here this morning) some old friends of ours are coming up. I've got a big crockpot of chili cooking now and building up a nice fire.

Who the hell are you?

Pretty quiet plans, being 6 months pregnant will do that to you. Mr. Tare is cooking for us and some friends and then hang out and listen to tunes and chat. Or maybe kick up some Rockband. I know I'll be in bed by 12:30.

Yay!

We're predicted to get a foot of snow or more - starting tonight sometimes. So, we're not venturing too far from home. Dinner reservations at 8:3O following a bar-hopping tour through town where there, reportedly, will be a few local bands playing.

I plan on being safely home by 10ish.

There's a chance of flurries around here tonight, but I doubt it will amount to much.

My cold came back (so stopped up and tired) so we're just staying home. Hell, we'd most likely have stayed home anyway, no one to watch the kid. I've got my wine, hubby's got his Jack, we've got pizza and snacky things, games, movies, etc.

Pretty much the same. Just getting over bronchitis, and it's supposed to rain. I'll be at home this evening and hopefully out and about tomorrow, seeing friends and wishing them happy New Year.

Dinner in the North End, then Dane Cook @ the Garden.

And booze, lots & lots of booze.

Ugh Sam I hope you feel better soon. And Nad seriously? You have got to stop getting sick Smiley: mad

Nothing big tonight. We're picking up some Mediterranean take out, chilling, and I will stay awake with Xavier for the New year while the Mr and Ashe pass out and snore on the couch. Wish I could join them but one of us has to stay up with the oldest. I am looking forward to nabbing a few extra pieces of baklava tonight though Smiley: grin

Hanging out with some roommates from a few years ago that I lost contact with. Sadly, my weekly work schedule requires me to wake up at 5AM so I won't be doing much partying.

As it turns out, our friends aren't coming up because of the snow (which stopped by noon) so we're all just chilling out. My pregger sister, and brother and his fiancee went out to dinner. I got in a few rounds of Tiger Woods 2009 this evening.

I could answer this with a snarky remark, or I could just say I'm new here.

I'll go with the latter, how nice to meet you!

I do. I mean. I was. Ugh. There was a reason I chose the friendly option.

I apologize for the failed attempt at sarcasm, can I just skip that section on the Asylum application for enrollment?

No. You may not resubmit an application for 30 days due to the failure of your current application.

Spent New Year in Sconny Botland
Screenshot

At the stroke of Big Ben's midnight toll, we linked arms - my parents, my girlfriend, my 2 sons and the youngest son's girlfriend. We toasted in the New Year with a 42 year old Malt Whisky and sang Auld Lang Syne.

We then walked out across the snow to the fish pond and had a moonlit ice-disco.
Ice Disco

The following day we toboganned and skated and ate too much.

2010 started well for me Smiley: waycool

I'm the soft one. You may talk to me any time before your 30 days are up.

However if I find out you don't like either avocado, or Pink Floyd, I'm pre-striking you out of my "posters I want to make love to" list. Bloody Kavekk. No taste.
